Bunch of rot from Wayne Smith, suggesting that by not attempting a converted try after the siren, we somehow tarnished the legacy of John Landy.
Give me a break!
Not far from a statue that reminds us of sportsmanship at its very best, Super Rugby’s Melbourne Rebels had a golden opportunity.

Absolute garbage piece he has written, the Rebels didn't need to stop the Highlanders scoring a bonus point.
The Force should have gone harder to secure an extra bonus point somewhere in the season for themselves and then it would have been a moot point.
Maybe we should have thrown the game we won against the Force earlier in the season it would have had the same result.
The Rebels should play the game only to promote the Rebels position and not to help any other team to their own detriment.
I doubt he would write a report patting us on the back for the great sporting gesture had we tried and lost.
In fact, had we gone for another try and somehow lost the game, very possible given it's the Rebels, I suspect he would have written a column lambasting us for trying to manufacture a result for another team and called the Rebels integrity into doubt.
