Rebels 2021

Of course.

I just asssssummmmeee (dangerous word) that if To'omua got pulled off for whatever reason, it would perhaps be better with holland coming in at 12 and hodge to 10, instead of gordon to 10.

Hoping I'm wrong and that Gordon is genuine, has real x factor, speed and potential instead of like..Harrison..who is Diet Foley.

He can hope - we haven’t had much X factor since the Halcyon days of Beale

Slight rumour James Hanson to come back to Aus. Not sure about the club but we appear to be the only one with a hooking spot free.

I really don't know the background of a lot of these guys but jeez... first time I've heard anyone claim Tetera Faulkner is a product of the ACT (yes I do know he lived and played in Canberra for a few years). Maybe the definition of "from Brumbies region" is a bit stretchy?
Best to stay away from the Reds thread then:)

Socino was reported to be going to the Rebels, but has now replaced Hanson at Gloucester. Not a stretch so suggest Hanson will be at the Rebels.

If he come back to Australia, I'd say we're in the box seat. Only real competition for his services is France; can't see him heading to Japan. Perhaps t h yound family factor will draw him back to oz.

I'd love to see him in the five stars again. Was sad to see him go in the first place.

He’s back in Aus but no indication on club. Family is based in QLD but there is the obvious issue there is they already have two guys of starting quality

except that BPA is heading to France next year.

I think an Amosa replacement is ideal. Rebels could use him now, but the Reds will need him then. Then the option would be for either a ST contract with Rebels or Japan in the interim or an extended break.

i'd be surprised if he comes back to Melbourne, wasnt his departure somewhat acrimonious, in that he was pushed out.

Not that I'm aware. Think it weas more due to little-to-zip Wallaby time. But 2-017 was a hair ol' time for the Rebels, sso who knows.

QLD are actually supplying the comp with most of the hookers. The Rebels definitely short at least one. Van Nek is listed as "frontrow" on the Rebels website (were as Craig and Uelese are listed as hookers).

Brumbies – Fainga'a, Lonergan, Pollard, McInerney
Force – Kaitu’u, Ready, *Winchester (*From NSW country but has been in QLD since he finished high school)
Rebels – *Craig, Uelese, Van Nek, (*Played for the Reds)
Reds – Mafi, Paenga-Amosa, Nasser, Asiata, Faessler
Waratahs – Abel, Cotton, Horton, Porecki

Personally, I'd like to dedicate more time in this thread discussing where all of the Brumbies players come from.........

Rebels member news today has a bit about Hendo leaving after 10 years with the club. I believe he is taking up a role with RA?

Trial arranged against the Brums 2nd team on the 19th. Not ideal but better than nothing given the times. Will be in Albury
