good point. Tuttle would be a good shout. I rate him highly and I agree he wouldn't get much shout up here. I'd prefer him and McDermott stayed and Sorovi goes elsewhere but Moses is the only one signed next year.

I’d love to know what has happened to Sa’aga. He signed a new contract at the back end of last year. Then had an injury to start the year, beyond that I have no idea what type of injury. It’s a mystery. He hasn’t been playing club, so I suspect it’s something injury related

Well exactly, it is crazy.

Worst case, they try and pull in some cashflow early or get some loan from someone. Cameron Clyne could easily throw them a $4 million loan.

re McMahon - the Rebels management, McMahon and his manager were furious with the Wallabies management/medical personnel for playing him on his injured ankle during the EOYT. i was told by someone within the Rebels set up that it was largely Cheika pushing him to play. so whether thats hearsay or not ? However, McMahon did publicly state that his body was on limited time, so he chose to stop playing Super Rugby/test rugby.

No. Contrary to everyone wanting to create some conspiracy theory the main reason originally was the RA top up, then came the Force/Rebels cutting saga. It was the perfect storm. Then Sean was given plenty of opportunity with the Wallabies, who came back with a revised offer but by this stage he had already given a commitment to Suntory. Kinda similar to the current Kerevi situation.

There was a few other aspects like administration at Rebels and RA which didn’t help the situation but they were not the main drivers. Injuries, worries about long term playing ability and becoming a dad for the first time were others.

If he’s ever coming back to Australia it’ll most likely be via the Reds, who showed some interest but he wasn’t overly interested at the time due to what he perceived was some poor treatment of certain mates.
