Everyone is waiting for someone else to be the first to sign, then they all will (wherever they may go). Someone has to be brave to take the first step, but understandably no one wants to be "that guy".

I believe many have already signed, and the Rebels simply won't (can't) announce until the Force formally declare their legal challenge over.

As soon as the first name drops in a Rebels announcement, as far as I am concerned, the flood gates will be open and we can start discussing.

Well, technically Tetera was the first. As Daz alluded to, RugbyWA will decide if they wish to pursue this legally, or they drop the case. No doubt with all the ARU people over in WA right now, some serious negotiations between players/agents/ARU is occurring, with a view to getting players into new clubs.

Thought we might have heard about a High Court appeal by now.

We believe they've signed pre-agreements, which holds as much legal weight as my half-empty AAMI Park Beer Cup. Looked what happened with Bernard.

Still, if they want to play in the Super Rugby competition, and we have spots available for them, then the choice is fairly simple.

Yea, you would have thought. Nothing on all the usual WF social media channels. Lots more talk about the protest this weekend and the new indo-pacific "league".
They need to stop using the word "league" if they want to sell a Rugby competition. It would confuse those less in the know.

Yes, I am sure we have pre-nuptials with a few guys, but I am also pretty sure that the last couple of days have seen names put onto formal contracts.

Just waiting for the inevitable. 2018 won't wait forever.

When they use those type of words, it feels like they're doing the marketing for the NRL. One time might be a slip, but TF has used it a few times.

Bloody shame to lose such a talented young player but why not offer him an early release? Not much point putting time and effort into developing him now and, as HL35 pointed out, we now have other options at THP.

Smart money would say they'd offer to pay him out if we get Talakai. Makes more sense why we have Faulkner, now firming as a THP option.

Think we need a little more beef on the loose head side.

I remember a report a while back (from Pandaram?) that suggested up to eleven players had signed MOUs. I'd be surprised if we ended up with all of them though. Some might get better offers and some might be "encouraged" to go to the Waratahs other teams.

I don't think I can find the words to express how distraught I am at Lomax's defection. The comments that "we have lots of other good options" just do not understand how good Lomax is going to be and how valuable a tight head prop is to the team. I had Lomax pencilled in for the world cup squad and the foundation of the Wallaby scrum in the twenties. Now he'll end up in the Black Hole.

Not a great day for Australian Rugby!

If the Highlanders were prepared to take him now a payout wouldn't be necessary though.

We definitely need a good LH. Fereti is the only one signed.

So off to NZ ehhh......Well nothing against the player and his choice but I now hope Lomax turns out to have a pretty average rugby career...;)

LHP wise, I think we have Ferti and Tom Moloney. Need a big name to cover Tobes.

Actually, I would suggest it is quite a deliberate use of the word. The true rugby followers will know enough about the ongoing dramas to know what Twiggy's "league" truly is and maybe by using the term league you may hook in a few of the less in the know.

I think all Rebels' fans have a pretty good idea of the kind of trajectory he was on. It's shit news for us, and potentially for the Wobs, but the fact is he's going back to NZ. Kind of obvious now why a couple of the "other good options" have been recruited. Best of luck to the young bloke.

This really pisses me off,

1) It's another good prop gone to NZ from Aus
2) And more importantly - It's another prop that the Rebels have lost overseas. Smith, PAE and not Lomax. But hey the ARU said we have no depth in Aus Rugby. Well that's 3 good props at Super Rugby level they failed to keep in Oz.

As bigger loss and McMahon and Gill to Aus rugby i believe. We should of capped him in June but went for Robertson and drafted Ainsley into the squad instead.

A dynamic prop, with the ability to get around the park, soft hands and scrummages like a beast.

Time we fire back with trying to entice AAT brother back over, surely he would rather play side by side with his brother than the All Blacks.
