Gareth Delve appointed Bristol Rugby team manager, someone I would love to see back in Melbourne working behind the scenes.

KevinO Delvey is a legend. I remember having a good chat to him after a pre-season match v Fiji in Ballarat. At the time there was an article about Delve being a good Samaritan and stepping in to stop an assault on a woman. I asked him about it and he tried to deflect from the story saying anyone would have done the same thing.

I legit had a dream last week about Gaz being announced our head coach, and the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of bringing him in for an assistant role/succession plan.

It would be such a huge move from a team culture perspective. Signing and then resigning him were the two best decisions the club had made. The guy innately gets what a rugby club should be.

That and it'd help bring back the few thousand members who lapsed as a result of this year's shenanigans.

J G-B carving it up again tonight for Wellington. Despite a lot of criticism on these threads i thought he showed a lot of promise this year and really looked like a 10 and with all the skills. Hopefully he will continue to improve for the Rebs next year. Might be helped having Genia inside him of course as well as a pack going forwards - with luck

Yes, watching the match and was wondering if it was a different Jackson Garden-Bachop. Is he returning in 2018? I hope he does. I think he is worth persisting with and with a different coach.

so still no sign of Fainga'a, Reid, English, Weeks, Lomax, Jeffries - whom i assume are all having end of season surgery/repairs/rehab - anyone know for sure.

Already shaping up to be a better squad than last season. Only ones I'd love to have back are McMahon, Debreczeni and Smith. Would add Shippers to that list, but he needs a change up. Hopefully we can get a miraculous change in the McMahon situation, although highly unlikely

If stalakai has decided to opt for a more civilised lifestyle here in Melbourne that would give us four THPs signed plus Fereti (who, I'm pretty sure was last seen playing on the tight head side). Seems a bit disproportionate.
Fox Sports mentioned during the Brisbane City v Fiji Drua game that Stalakai has "likely" signed with the Rebels. Maybe they got that info from this forum?

We are after all a reputable source of trade information.

But, imagine those tow brothers, tearing shit up at AAMI Park? if we miss out on a certain player who shall not be named, then he's a good buy.

Anyone know why Lomax not in the Rising squad. He needs matches.

The young guys today have given some hope that some talent is on our books, they just need time and matches

Might be in team rehab? He was in the walking wounded at the end of season.

Don't mind having everyone in team rehab.

Particularly if we're dealing with only a couple more new faces, making sure everyone is fighting fit for the Super Rugby season is more important.

2017 was a shocker on that front, but even with the players just now, I think we can be much better if we can get some consistency out of our best side.

Yeh I remember him being injured towards season end, wasn't sure how serious tho. I can actually see him potentially taking on the LH duties next season

Yeh, could happen. We actually have a number of options on both sides right now. Although wouldn't mind a young-and-old paring; Ferti and Tetera, Tyrell and Lorenzo. Could work well.
