Zane, I think so too.

Wessels, well that would be mad not to consider him.

Internationals? Deans, would be nice, can't see I'm doing it.

Matt Taylor, don't know enough about to form a view.

....if he was available that is. He still might have a HC role at the Force in 2018.

The only way I see Taylor coming back is if he's got ambitions to coach Australia at full International Level.

He's been Toonies right hand man the last 6 years and both Glasgow and Scotland have grown significantly stronger under him.

That said, having him at the Rebels isn't a bad consolation prize if he was to come.

Not sure what he is up to at the moment and whether he would want to get back on coaching merry-go-round. But what about the return home of Ewen McKenzie? Any chance of this happening?

If he does have those ambitions and, if he's been reading the papers, he might be thinking there's a reasonable chance the job could be open in the not too distant future. A good way to push his case would be to take on the Rebels gig.

Taylor has seen success everywhere he's gone

Reds 2011 - champions.
Glasgow 2012-2017 - perennial pro12 top 4, won the league 2015.
Scotland 2012-2017 - moved to highest world ranking ever.

Only downside is he's never been head coach but has sat beside some of the best. Even McKenzie, Gregor Townsend, Vern Cotter.

Arguably the most promising Australian coach with actual professional coaching set up experience going around.

Keep in mind if Wessels were to become available you'd need to pick up his entire support staff as well. I suspect it was very much a team effort and one cog missing will make the machine fall apart.

PS. Good way to mess up our coaching system btw if Wessels isn't available.

Heard that Rob Clarke is sniffing around the VRU and Rebels and will be in attendance at the end of season award night this week. Can't quite get my head around why:
1. Clarke was the architect of the sale of the Rebels to Cox and the 'secret' $6-7 million extra payment saga
2. He was the architect of the 'let's cull a team' plot
Surely he has lost all credibility in sports administration?

Hes doing some work up in Canberra. He was asked general rugby questions and basically said he wasn't aware of anything because he hasn't watched a game in years.

So as mentioned, zero chance I'd say.

Probably not. If you can't work with someone's personality, then it's best you make a change.

Love to know what's he's up to - could be very useful around the club.

So, can we go back to speculating on the HC?

Think I recently saw he has tie up of some sort with a Shute Shield side.

Looks like Pat Leafa is off to France. Not sure of Club.

I'll farewell him on behalf of us Rebels supporters, at the same time welcome him to Vannes, which is my club in France. Just around the corner from my place, and I'll be over there in a few weeks.

I've got a couple of Vannes games and an Oyonnax game to attend, so flying the supporters flag for ex-Rebels players now playing in France!

Maybe million? Been reading that people think he's not worth 800K?
I'm prepared to forgive him for the daft M. As with it he's still only half as annoying as Phipps.
