Wouldn't be too down on Jeffries, I though he was pretty damaging in the games I saw. Pretty sure McGahan will stick with Timani at lock and have Mafi at 8, he would have cost a fair packet, I'm sure it wasn't for a bench option. You'd be mad to have both Jory and Colby waiting in the wings or on the bench

I actually think we 'do the right thing' by Aus rugby and start Timani at 8 but rotate him into lock at the 60th minute mark. This will suit the more broken game you usually see around that point.

I don't think this is the professional mindset though. Locks are locks and looseys are looseys, this can change week to week but not usually within games. Their PSS work wouldn't match up.

Would not call him a huge loss, his results were average at best.

Close to zero soft tissue injuries in 2014, when he had full control of the program. Results didnt go well for TM & changes came into play whereby Bryce wasn't in full control of his own programs anymore in 2015 & 2016.

Zane Leonard, Alex Rigby & Josh Bird were all great operators in the S & C space who left, partly due to the lack of control their department actually had on the athletic performance side of things.

Bryce was pushing $hit uphill under that regime.

It's a good squad, but I can't help get a little depressed when I see the list of outs.

Maddocks hasn't even played a game of NRC. Highest level so far is Aust U20's (where he was one of the better performers in a rather poorly performing AUS performance).

He has been out of action due to unspecified "Illness" for a protracted time. Before NSW and Aus U20, he had played a handful of Senior Club games for Eastern Suburbs in Sydney (as a 18/19 year old).

I think the bloke has a very bright future in front of him, but it is a big call to have him as a Rebel's "best" when he hasn't even played for them. How many Rebels training sessions did he attend before he was placed on the "illness" list?

No idea about the training, but he was picked on the bench for Rebels v Reds at Suncorp. Didn't get on the field though.

thinkiing placid and fou at 15
Not convinced we should ever have Placid at 15. Has not really cut it there at NRC let alone soop. He would be better on a wing but not a starter. Don't know if Fou will be ready. It will be a weak point for us unless we move Hodge or Jack Deb there which only moves the weak spot closer to the play and does no favours for player development.

Is there no chance we can keep Crawford? If uninjured he would be better than acid and could mentor Fou
