If Saffy is going to France it seems bizarre that he hasn't gone already.

The other Australian players heading over there who haven't left yet are only here because the ARU hasn't released them (like Drew Mitchell).

On one hand you are correct.

On the other, the French and Japanese teams are always content to have guys rock up mid season.

The Rebels have signed Kiwi Tamati Ellison for 2014 on a one year deal.

He'll play in Japan first then join up for pre-season when finished up there.

That's a very good signing. I don't think we could have hoped for any better, he was even solid in a poor Highlanders outfit.

Now we just need a 10 to pair him with, I keep floating Ben Seymour.

No loss - he would have signed for one year while he looked for an o/s contract...give me Pyle, Neville and Jones any day!!
