Nah, it's quite the opposite.

Massive rental shortage, and aside from the influx of students you also have a huge number of public service workers coming in from interstate, with rather large pay packets, who are mostly renting.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well enough, I think we're saying the same thing but I'm making less sense.

How many people would be interested if the Rebels did organise offical supporters tours?

I was planning on getting to as many Oz based games in 2013 as I could, also possibly one N.Z. game.
Always keen to make this easier.

Don't need "official tours". Fans have been more than capable of organizing themselves since season 1.

All you need to do is communicate a pub and an area inside the stadium.

On a different note, could we please throw a fist full of money at Talalelei Gray?

I know we all speak of Allan Faalavaau, Eddie Maka, and Dave Hardisty, hoping that we'd take a chance but Gray is basically blue chip.

He's a top 14 starting quality 6/8 who is 22 and as Victorian as Spencer St Station. Get him here before he gets capped for Samoa and contracting him becomes more complicated!

tala is product of st kevs then played for uni colts/ones while still at school before going to brumbies academy a few years ago. played shute shield for easts, australia 7's (?2010) but had problems with shoulders ? one/two reconstructions before heading to Biaratitz at the start of last year. i agree he would be a good pickup if delve goes at the end of 2013

I'm aware, that's why I mentioned him.

He probably needs to fill out a bit to play 8 in Super Rugby though, more of a 6 right now. Seems his strengths are workrate and lineout jumping.

Also it's perhaps a bit unfair to credit his development to Skevs and not his juniour club (which is Norths I think?).

Final (30th) member of the squad is Blues prop Pauliasi Manu.

Know much about him?

From a quick google I gather he's picked up 5 or so Super Rugby games and has been a full Super Rugby squad player in the past and is very fast for a prop.

Manu is an excellent signing. has been pretty much the form loose head through the ITM. Fantastic to see the Rebels using their foreign player allowance on young developing players like Manu, Woodward and Fulgistallar, all of who can become Australian qualified if they choose to stay in Australia after their initial 2 years with the Rebels.
Especially think Manu and Woodward could have something to offer Oz rugby long term, in positions that need bolstering.

Ryan Tyrrell has withdrawn from the squad, heading back to Perth.

Family/personal reasons.

Time to hunt for another hooker.

Off to New Zealnd then, that's apparently the Rebel's way.

Or we could get Luke Holmes again, apparently fishing around.

Wouldn't surprise me.

Can't think of any other hookers we could have a crack at. *pun intended*

Holmes signed with the Tahs.
