Rd 9: Rebels v Stormers - Fri 12th @7:45pm

After two bonus points wins, this match actually has a huge bearing on the conference and finals.

The Rebels are currently 7 points clear of the Tahs. This week the Tahs have a bye so a win here could mover them to 11/12 points clear at the half way point of the season and heading into the first clash of the sides this season.

Come on Rebels, huge win needed.

Rebels should be easy favourites. Kolisi has been sent home. The Stormers are a pretty average side and losing the Springbok captain won't help matters.

Is this them resting their 'Boks hey. So, this is the throw-away game for them hopefully.

Second v eleventh & Stormers have been on the road for a month, Rebs should be targeting another BP win.
Hmmm - I still recall that last SA roadtrip....and losing the game after 33-5 up or thereabouts etc so need more time to have belief oz super rugby side can play consistent rugby week in week out which at this point still includes the Rebels....

Ahh the blessings of depth. Wessels has mixed his teams up well without really impacting the quality of the side.

QC (Quade Cooper) being rested will be a challenge, but I guess that's why they are pushing for the early return of To'omua.

Will be good to see Tupou get a run on the wing and to see how Hardwick goes as the inside back reserve.

It would seem Leicester are also pushing for To'omua's early return! Funny way of going about it!

Dicky is very versatile, he has some speed on him!

Excited to see Tupou again.

I think they will look to rest the likes of Quade away to the Hurricanes in a few weeks time.

No, I was just referring to the Tigers' form this season. Not making the finals will free Matt up sooner? No?

I am not sure where he actually fits into the starting side really, Meekes is such a wonderful foil for Cooper, the Rebels may end up with a bench of To'omua and Hodge
