Couple of pretty dumb penalties to get themselves in the situation though! Been an issue for them all yearGood defence by the Rebels, give away a few cynical penalties on the line and a YC, but no try. Feels nicely Kiwi-esque.
I think they were all too scared mafi might have pulled a gun on them if they ribbed him on the field! So what you do you say to Mafi on the field? Surely they have enough ammo to put him off his game, or do you just need to ask his teammates questions about him during the rucks to piss him off.
Can't find odds for him to get a yellow/red card. But would be worth $5 if I could
With JU on the scrum was immense. If he plays semi well the last 3 games he will be on the plane.
Agree. I much prefer listening to the Dingo, Harrison, Turinui style of commentary than the Kerns, Martin, Horan variety.Robbie Deans might not have the voice for commentary but he was extremely insightful. Very much improved the product.
Needs to spend some time this week with the ladder though. With JU on the scrum was immense. If he plays semi well the last 3 games he will be on the plane.
Sounds like every other Hooker in Australia. The throwing was a bit of ring rust. The rest of his game is fantastic.
He is really strong in the scrum and really improves the go forward that the pack create.
The other area he adds firepower is at the breakdown he is always working in the collision zone.
Whoever was calling the throws didn't do him any favours though. You see it all the time; a new hooker comes on, the first throw is called right to the back and the hooker misses. So then call the same throw on the next lineout. It would make more sense to call a throw to two or the middle until the guy gets his confidence up.The throwing was a bit of ring rust. they need to be throwing practice lineouts in the warmup area like a baseball bullpenWhoever was calling the throws didn't do him any favours though.
