Bringing lots of family there for a big lunch (and presumably spending a fair amount) was probably a bit of an olive branch of an apology.
Also hopefully unlikely to repeat the dose at a Sunday lunch with all his family.
Would seem unlikely they'll pick Phipps this weekend so I expect Short will be back on the bench.
