Looks like the rising will lose Jones and English - they've been called into the Wallabies 32 man squad.

Would certainly put a little dent in the title hopes if they go on the EOYT however. NSW Country could swoop in with not many Wallabies.

A little dent yes, but we have good depth for blindside and OC/wing. Sefa might be back, all depending on how his thumb rehab comes along.

Am a little torn, hope is they get to go, but the Rising fan in me wants to see a title win and bring some much deserved Rugby joy to Mexico.

HA! Wallabies' selections will have their heads in the cloud. RAMS BY 40!!!!

What about Sigg vs Mafi?

Sigg put in a pretty good performance dominating the lineout against Brisbane and running hard in the tight. Mafi is a bloody flake though he's useful in the open.

Mafi has also started pretty much every game. I suspect Melrose wants his best tight forwards out there to support Alcock, Perrett, and Sio, then brings Mafi et al on later to see if the Rebs are as fit as everyone thinks.

Rising have the better of it, but Rams are staying in touch. Rams are finishing their chances.

Rising are really playing some champagne rugby at times. Once breakout that finished in a falcon was superb.

As I type Rising in again, up 21 - 16. Kick missed.

A few notes: Debreczeni looking good once again. Rising backline humming. Alcock the pick of the Rams forwards.

Rams in, should be converted, off a break from Volavola then quick tap from ensuing penalty. Taefu scored, hint of a double movement as he rolled in the tackle. Replay showed definite double movement, was advantage to the Rams anyway though.

Really scrappy from the Rising so far. Can't finish off any moves and defense is poor. Frustrating to watch. Can't take away from the fact that the Rams have been good though.

Holloway and Volavola Rams best as usual.

24 - 21 half time to the Rams. Rising have had slightly the better of it, but Rams have taken their chances much better. Think Rams have had the much better of the ref, a few 50/50 breakdown penalties flowing to the Rams and the Rising have pushed the Rams scrum 5m+ down the field without reward.

All credit to the Rams though, some clinical play.

Yeah, the Rams strengths are: Holloway, Alcock, Perrett is also pretty handy mainly, and Volavola, and their 13 (Sevula?). Sio is having a pretty poor game at 8. They are getting over the ball well at the breakdown, as they did last week, although the ref seems to be a little more lenient to the Rams at the breakdown right now. Swanepoel (?) their 9 has also had a complete form reversal and has been great.

I reckon the score flatters the Rams.
They seem to be hanging on,but a Melbourne breakout looks imminent.
The Rams will fatigue and the pro's will roll over the top of them I predict.
But hats off to the Rams for a strong first 1/2

Inman in under the posts off a strong scrum, close to a penalty try.

Fat Cat off at half time?

29 - 24 to the Rising.

Debrezceni with a shocking knock on; bouncing ball above his head, easy take, Rams 10m scrum.

Rams held up; the Rams 18 has been running over players since he has been on.

Sigg in after prolonged play in the Rising 22.

Should be 32 - 29 after the kick.
