Interview him in French, to see how the lessons are going.
But really, of course, is he or isn't he Oz-bound pre-Lions?

Yeah I think everybody just wants to know if he's got plans to be back for the Lions or WC 2015 or whatnot. He'll give you a rehearsed answer about having to think about his family and it being undetermined but don't let him off TOO easy.

If you're in the mood you could ask him how it feels to know he would be starting for the wallabies right now had he not gone overseas. I suppose that's too volatile of a question though.

Maybe since it's topical right now ask him about the Strauss/Bent Ireland issue and how he feels about the current international qualification system.

Or another topical line of questions you could ask him how he feels about Australia's 3rd tier and what he thinks needs to be done. As somebody that really came through Australia's 3rd tier moreso than the schools system I'm sure he'd have some insight to give.

Great question from Facebook kinda says it all

"
What do the wallabies need to do to become a dominating force or at least be competitive"

With his time in the Wallaby set up, how much training was directed at improving their skills?

Was there any emphasis placed on improving base skills like passing, catching high balls or was it left to the states to work on this?

Back line moves - who came up with them, who called them during a game and who reviewed the failed moves after a game.

If he was the Australian 9, Who he want to be passing to, Berrick, Kurtley, Quade or Giteau as his no. 10?

What's the difference between playing rugby in NH and SH ?

Does he enjoy his time at Toulouse ?

Isn't it too hard not to always be the regular first choice at Toulouse ? What does he think about his young teammate and rival Jean Marc Doussain ?

The best number 8 he played with : Palu, Picamoles, an other ?
The best number 10 he played with : Barnes, McAlister, an other ?

He's contracted with Toulouse until June 2014. But given that he isn't the first choice maybe he could be released from his last year if Toulouse can find a good replacement.

What's his best sledge that he has delivered on the field & does he have as much fun on the field as he seems to have off it?

Money aside, what is the best thing about living and playing footy in France/Europe?

What do you miss the most (and least) about home?

We saw some penalties on the weekend for incorrect scrum feeds from the #9. These laws haven't really been actively policed for many seasons. The recent "innovation" of the power hit at scrum time seems to be responsible for many timewasting scrum collapses, resets and penalties. What are your thoughts on the scrum returning to a more traditional hooking and pushing competition and consigning the power hit to history?

"just how much of an idiot is Robbie Deans?" is what I asked him in the end.

Seriously though - he does make a comment on current Wobs game plan and why it doesn't work.

Very interesting - but not surprising - to hear how he's changed his game as well.
