Queensland Reds 2025

Sure. But is that all was happening? It seems to me they feel the need for those tricky dicky line outs and then get muddled. Little back to basics. All that conference stuff - normally the time is on the verge of the ref's patience but last night was just silly. Then only to completely fluff the thing.
Question - is it legal for the opposition jumper to jump across into the opposition line. I always thought that was illegal. Saw the force do that on one occasion last night and were rewarded with the turnover

"Legal" is what ever the ref says it is on the night. If by "legal" you mean should the ref have been watching more under the rules, then I suspect there was plenty in the line out where I would say yes.

Perhaps..I was watching at the game, this wasn’t a tactic, these were heated discussions and genuine confusion about the line-out move

There is the first improvement to the line out system - get rid of input and consensus, or at least reduce it. One caller, the rest follow the call. No more heated discussions, get on with it.

Yeah I was at the game, we didn’t look at all in a hurry for the lineout which I think just helped them get set. I’m not sure what we were trying to do.
Such on an odd feeling of having scrum superiority only to kick for a lineout that you know you’re gonna lose.

in the presser last night Schmidt suggested a return by Campbell was imminent, and Paisami would be back this week, but Flook still some time away. Hopefully Faessler, Wilson, McReight & Fa’agase are all back. Would also like to see Nonggorr back in for De Lutiis. You can see De Lutiis is doing great work for a young THP but Nonggorr is a bit more developed as a player.

Their respective replacements have all been solid but really need our best possible teams on deck for the next two weeks and with the bye coming up.

One real point of interest for me is who gets the nod for the locks. I suspect Salakai-Loto and Smith will continue to start - although the lineout review will be telling.

I'd have Canham back, he's been a real point of difference and calling lineouts I've heard?

What's been Faessler's injury?
Only detail is this, from post match after it happened against the tahs:
Faessler was also taken off in the first half after he “felt something around the high leg area”, with the club unsure on its severity.

Probably some sort of minor tear? I feel like we might have heard more if it was really serious.

Even something like a grade 1 strain/tear of the groin, is 2-3 weeks, which i'd suspect it's something like that give describing it as upper leg.
He looked a bit stiff but was walking fine.

Besides Wilson and Mcreight, Jock Campbell in chance for returning against Chiefs also, Wright not far off either.
The Reds will regain back rowers Harry Wilson (rested) and Fraser McReight (AC joint) for Friday's top-of-the-table clash with the Chiefs in New Zealand.

And with Liam Wright not far behind them, the Reds' personnel in the lineout will look vastly different to the one that fronted up against the Force.

Fullback Jock Campbell (hand) is also in the running to return against the Chiefs.

Great initiative, will be interesting to see how the crowd shakes out as a result. Last years game against the Brumbies had a crowd of 17,782, you'd expect this one was already on track to be closer to 20k given the uptick and run we're on. The result against the Chiefs this weekend will also play a big part, but getting on this while we're on a positive run seems really well timed.
