Who knows - what I can say is TH Props are hard to come by, 21yr TH Props that can hold their own at scrum time are even harder to find.
I would have Eloff as my number one option for recruiting, and have held this opinion for a couple of years.Obviously the Rebs are stacked for Tightheads this coming season (Tupou, Pone, Talakai and Eloff who can swap if needed) but it's interesting that he seems to have been unceremoniously let go without another contract from anywhere.
Any idea when Eloff will be eligible for the Wallabies? Having him come off the bench for Bell will be a brutal 1-2 punch.I would have Eloff as my number one option for recruiting, and have held this opinion for a couple of years.
I would love him in Red before he wears Gold, which will happen as soon as he is eligible.

Agreed - although, removing Tupou, Zander, and Daugunu from the equation probably takes out a not-insignificant number of penalties over recent seasons. That said I do think there will be an adjustment period with a whole new coaching setup, and I'm a little worried about discipline given both our and Les Kiss' history there.
McDermott, Thomas & Werchon. Anyone still seen Spencer at training?Louis Werchon and Mac Grealy signed to end of 2024
Mac Grealy re-signs, Louis Werchon signs with the Queensland Reds
The Queensland Reds have continued to build their roster for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season, re-signing outside back Mac Grealy and signing scrumhalf Louis Werchon.reds.rugby
He has been at training, unsure what this signing means for him though. They might have been competing for the last halves position.McDermott, Thomas & Werchon. Anyone still seen Spencer at training?
Honestly I think we're a bit lucky to have held onto him - he's got heaps of talent, should be getting interest from around Australia and could probably make plenty in Japan. I expect that's the one year deal from his part, he's still very young but he'll be keen to be getting regular game time at this level now to move his career forward.Really glad we’ve stuck with Mac. I see his game really maturing. He’s one that has benefitted from a lot of club rugby game time. It would have been easy to cut him considering he’s been there for a few years now.
really excited to see how some of these players respond to a new coach. I’ve been hearing some really positive reports on Kiss.

By others.Tahs just signed Will Skelton 2.0, they’re now catapulted into pre-season premiership favourites for the 18th season in a row

9 new signings at the Force for next season (incl. a couple on assumedly bigger contracts) might've also played a part?i had heard he was a done deal at the Force. Maybe a new coach swayed him.
