Showing an incredible level f maturity and intelligence, Quade Cooper has been arrested and released on bail after being 'allegedly' caught breaking into a home at Surfers Paradise and stealing a laptop computer.
That would be enough to pretty well take him out of selection for a while.
I mean, that sort of stupidity just calls for an intelligence level way beyond my comprehension.
For the life of me I just couldn't grasp any reason whatsoever that would make it even contemplatable yet alone do it considering his possible future.

Wonder what the story was? It's not like he would've been sneaking in to steal a telly and some dvds.

If Harrison can still get picked in a s14 side after his hijinx I don't think a breaking-and-entering charge for unknown reasons is going to kill Cooper's career.

Back to league Mungo.. they don't mind a criminal or three

So soon after his return, there must've been a woman involved. A cheating woman, is my guess. Hence the police on the scene. Just a guess though.

Not really surprised. Have seen him in the Valley starting people and being a f*ckwit in general, also kicked out a cabbies window.

Obviously bigger than the game, could probably get a gig as a south african referee... :bootyshake

How do you make the link between break and enter and a cheating woman.
Shirlock Holmes would be very proud of that jump in decision making.

just 'breaking into a home'? Not stealing?

Fuck that. I've done that in my youth. Druck at the dirty snaf (Cafe Neon). Had a girl friend who lived around the corner, broke into her house (she wasn't home, her flat mate was) jimmied open the front windo and crashed on the couch.

I won't condem til I hear more.

Wallabies, Reds star charged with robbery
December 6, 2009 - 6:48PM

Queensland Reds and Wallaby rugby union star Quade Cooper has been charged by police after allegedly robbing a residence on the Gold Coast.

Cooper was released from Southport watchhouse this afternoon, charged with one count of burglary.

A police media spokesman said a 21-year-old man had been charged with one count of burglary of a residence in Surfers Paradise on Sunday morning.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on December 11.

Cooper recently returned from a breakthrough Wallaby tour, where he played all four tests in Australia's Grand Slam quest.

thats not good. But let's wait to see if it was the DVD player or just a witches hat or something.

Is there a mittigating clause that makes burglary of a lesser item lesser of an offence there Nod?

Burglary is burglary - if guilty fuck him off, burn him - make an example of him.

I suppose it now means we have to redraft those teams for the Reds for next year though.

I'm guessing the reason he broke in has nothing to do with money, in which case it was a crime of passion. Crime of passion = woman. He's been away for a fair while, so it makes sense to me that it'd be a girlfriend who'd broken up with him recently (possibly while on tour). It's all very speculative, but not a lot of info to go on atm. Maybe he was trying to reclaim something of his she'd claimed, or that he'd left at her place.

Give me a break, I'm bored. ;)

Gees thats a very good scenario, I would be proud of that one myself - pass it on to Chris Nyst - if he gets the job of defending him.
He always seems to have some great reasons in his kit for his clients to rely on when they commit serious crimes.

If he were a leaguey they would just pay some hush money (to the injured party NOT police) for the charges to go away.....
