A bit of discussion happening around the place so thought a thread for squad discussion etc was worth creating. Might as well combine the teams in the one too as that's how QRU do it!

So Mick Heenan is the Brisbane City Coach and Rodney Seib is the Country coach apparently.

Have also heard Rod Seib will take the QLD Country reigns. I wonder if Paul Carozza will have anything to do with the team again this year, or perhaps he's due a break?

Woohoo more good news. :)

TBF though, let Quade fight for his start. Hunt should start every time.

On reflection let them both fight for a start like everyone. It's just that as much as I love Quade I think we can't expect he's the auto 10. With Hunt I think whatever competition for 15, oh or 12, or hell 7, he'll likely be in.

And of course with Quade you get this bonus pro-culture thing ( Thorn on this issue is a muppet.)

It's good to see Cooper, Hunt and Slipper named. Ready too.

What is the latest with Frisby? A search shows that he had a short term deal in France but was due back in Brisbane in June.

He’s signed with Glasgow ( I think it is)

It's probably just a typo but the team announcement on redsrugby.com.au lists Quade's Queensland playing history as only up until 2015... yes, probably just a typo.

Quade Cooper

Brumby Runner

Jason Little (69)
Someone like to predict the likely starting sides from those lists?

Interesting that Perese is shown in the Country squad. Is he staying in Union?

Feel absolutely terrible for Liam Dillion of Wests... I know the bulldogs are well represented in both teams especially after disappointing premier grade campaign but LD was head & shoulders the best non contracted Reds in the bulldogs backline.

Congrats to Misioka Timotea the Wests front rower... absolute 1st grade bolter who’s really developed the last 2 seasons he has been down at the Kennel.

Any other premier grade snubs apart from LD?

Some people I think unlucky to miss out (Might be in training squads):
Liam Dillon (Wests)
Wyatt Setu (Uni)
Sam Wallis (Uni)
Keiran Van Brecht (Bond)
Michael Richards (GPS)
Jaye Thompson (GPS)
Veresa Mataitini (Norths)
Josh Birch (Uni)

Jaye Thompson (GPS)

Some of them may have legitimately missed out. Others may have opted not to play however.
