They are the "Reds" after all..

Looks like they took some fashion tips from Llanelli Scarlets, wonder what the away jersey will look like.

I like it. First impression was 'crickey', but I like it. The will definately standout. Hopefully there play will also standout, for the right reasons.

Not bad at all when you see the full thing.

Why the socks needed the little white sections escapes me though...

The away strip hasn't changed much, just red socks instead of maroon.

Originally the socks and shorts were a slightly different colour to mix it up a bit, but everything got thrown in the wash together and ended up like that.

Saw a trainer or some sort wearing the collared version of this down at the coffee shop today.

I think this new jersey is good and it goes together when the referee actually says "Roll away red", it won't be such a bad move. I'm sure Barnes is really jealous that he won't get to be seen in these colours.

Is Braid sunburnt? Oh no wait, is the new Qld strip. Why not save the money and have the players play in the nude after a full day in the Qld sun. No one would notice the difference.

i reckon it will look quite good out on the field, will contrast nicely against teams like the waratahs and the blues. .

it is however a little bit to similar to the Adelaide Reds for my liking

Yep, it is as gay as the Tahs jersey. They maybe OK for a cycling race, but not a rugby match.

Bring back collars and real jerseys.

Not stuff that reminds me of this

When I was growing up rugby jerseys were basically considered boring old jumpers, while all the cool kids wore soccer shirts for their silky feel and flattering cuts. Now rugby shirts are starting to look exactly like soccer shirts. I wish we had the easy design choices the All Blacks have (black goes with everything).

apparently they ditched the collars because it just means one less thing that the opposition can grab a hold of in the tackle, not the collar itself but the v neck part at the front

He might be but he is a tough little rooster and will do the job. Talk of QC (Quade Cooper)'s omission is premature however, both these guys, and Kingi, are options, as is Hynes as a left field call. The other guy who would do a reliable job is Ant Fainga'a, fantastic defender.

to ensure there isn't conflicts, I guess is the one answer.

merchandising dollar is the other.
