oh, you are speaking about Norths having lost their last 3 games - I am prepared to write-off the Eagles as they have the bye and then the Bulldogs in round 8.
Yeh pretty easy call to make though really. 3 weeks ago they were third. But by 5pm this Saturday they'll be 7th with Wests the week after. They could well be last by the end of the first round.

Who cares? Did you ever think they'd be any different this year anyway? Its 1 v 2 at Tigerland this week. There'll be a massive crowd,of which I'll most certainly be one of them. Looking forward to catching up with a few of those Easts Old Boys over a cool whip or two.

Magnificent positivity Knuckles - tired of the cynical creepy Joes in the world.

Great story about Nuku Swerling and his 4-yr old son published today.

I recall a poster on here before the season started who was rinsing Nuku and claiming he couldn't cart his frame around the field or something. A bit of egg on the face there now, he's been having a great season and I think named in the team of the week once or twice.

Big test for Elwee. He has considerable success over the last three years. A new roster and a few losses this year. Hats off to him if they turn it around.

As I have said here before the Bulldogs need 8 wins from 10 games - it is possible but not probable. A loss to GPS will make it very difficult - so today is a must win.

Beat GPS and they put themselves on a level playing field with GPS in terms of finals qualification stakes.

in Wests favour is the fact that they have accumulated 7 bonus points - the most in the competition.

Today’s game is a sliding doors moment in QPR25.

I think youre really overstating the wins needed for finals. GPS currently in top 4, Wests win today they're in top 4, pretty simple equation.
Presume you're meaning you need around 40 points for finals, which may be correct, but as,Wests have currently proven, many different ways to accumulate ladder points than just standard 4 point wins.
Long way to go in season, far too early to say teams cant make it

No my 10 wins theory is based on about 20 years of stats in QPR - Prem & Reserve grades.
All I am saying is that if you put yourself behind in the first half the season with only 2/3 wins it makes things very difficult in the second half and despite best efforts you come up short. Clearly if both GPS & Wests get themselves to 4 wins at the turn then they are both in serious contention. I haven’t written Wests off but I think we can put a line through Norths and the rest - the top four teams will come out of the current top 5.

With 3 team Wests (3rd), Souths(4th) & GPS (5th) all now with 3 wins we will have to see how many you need - with some results like Uni def Sth & previously Wests maybe the win number might be 9.
Elwee must be a good coach with Wests 53 def GPS 5.

I'm a wests supporter and I don't know the bloke but never really warmed to him being quality based on the teams he has had and his usual f*ck around with players positions in the backline.

Rugby can be over complicated by coaches and (for me) it seems he is in that category
