I think you might find that Brothers will be in the Third Grade Major Semi-Final not Souths. It looks like their result from yesterday hasn't been put in Rugby Explorer yet. Not sure why!

Is there a policy of neutral grounds for semi finals (Wests playing UQ at GPS, and GPS playing Brothers at Wests) or is it just availability of fields with Ballymore out?

My Premier Grade team of the year (No Contracted players allowed). I'd love to see this team play the best of the Shute Shield.

1. George Francis (Souths)
2. Ethan Dobbins (Wests)
3. Rhys Sheriff (Bond)
4. Angelo Smith (Wests)
5. Zac Shepherd (Easts)
6. Nixon Taramai (Bond)
7. Connor Anderson (Wests)
8. Connor Mitchell (University)
9. Eli Pilz (Easts)
10. Rohan Saifoloi (Sunnybank)
11. Ben Navosailagi (Wests)
12. Tyler Campbell (Bond)
13. David Lene (Sunnybank)
14. Kye Oates (University)
15. Tayler Adams (Brothers)
RESERVES
16. Tonga Ma'afu (Norths)
17. Jethro Felemi (GPS)
18. Phransis Sula-Siaosi (Souths)
19. Ollie Bartlett (GPS)
20. Will Rogers (Norths)
21. Mosaiah Christian (Brothers)
22. Dan Boardman (Bond)
23. Meli Dreu (Easts)

Any notable omissions in your opinions? Didn't consider guys like Josh Fenner or Tautalatasi Tasi due to picking up contracts mid way through season.

Billy Bulley maybe unlucky, but I can't argue him above any of your outside back choices. TJ Siakasini the other, but with limited games it's tough to argue his case.

Pat Morrey (UQ) - would be handy on the bench to cover the back half of a scrum.
Brad Twidale (UQ) - a class No 10

Yeah definitely Uni at this stage. Wests are looking a bit disjointed with returning players whereas Brothers might be a bit of a smokey with their returning wallabies/super players having slotted in well. Not clear who they'll still have though. GPS look well off the pace to me, but I haven't seen as much of their later season rugby as the other 3.

The last few years, GPS have looked like a pretty one dimensional team, with a couple of key players who are able to carry them during periods of the season.

Guys in particular like Tasi Tasi, Matt Gicquel, Patty Nicholson and Josh Collins have been able to break games open and turn a 7/10 performance into 9/10 and get the win.

It’s no surprise they look a bit rudderless without them on the field now.

I think there were plans to do a 'rep-round' initially mid-year, but then that weekend was then used to redo the weekend of rained-out games. Didn't see much comms about it from QRU, but know there were at least plans for it. Would have been interesting.

No Carter Gordon for Wests this weekend, and maybe not for any of the finals. Martin Lippiatt on clubland has him with an ankle complaint.
