Disappointing inconsistencies in refereeing. Very obvious example at 63:50 when Brothers off feet over the ball with one then two off feet lying on the GPS side of the ball then a third and fourth resting on top sealing off while a fifth steals the ball. No penalty, however GPS continually penalised in second half at breakdown (while on feet over the ball) allowing Brothers back into the game.
Not sure about the hype over U20 players - they're good but not the best getting around in the Open Premier competition. Guys like Wihongi, Lynch, Morrey, Gicquel all in a class above. Kibble dynamic as well yesterday. I reckon GPS backrow collectively outplayed Brothers backrow in last night's game.
Yeah I'd agree with that only 18 mins into the game, and Jeeps have got the rub of the green well n truly; Jeeps #4 with plenty of illegal play (offside in line-out, taking out the 9 & high tackle); forward pass for a try (even though it was good), offside (in front of the kicker for another try (fairly marginal though and a good finish)......mate there are errors from the ref's, and I think you got the best of it. So it's poor form to blame the ref's, particularly if your trying to say they favoured one side, my advice to you is just wear it.
On your second point I'd prefer to have Wilson, McReight and Woods (if and when he will be able to start again this season) playing for me then all the one's you mentioned. Not dispelling those players you named, they are all good footballers, however, they are fair more experienced that the Brothers boys, who are 20. Why do I prefer them? because they are fresh and young, yeah they'll make mistakes, yeah they may take the wrong options, but they are adding a dimension that I don't think any other team in QPR club has at the moment (even though Jeeps is a great competitor for it). The HYPE is that these young men came very close to giving Australia their first junior world cup since 2010 (and were much closer than the 2010 team). The HYPE is (if you watch enough of the footy) they try their asses off every game and make an impact just about every week. The HYPE is that their our future (as is potnetially Kibble and possibly Gicquel) and I think in 2023 (with hopefully other young and older talent) bill may come home. So that's the HYPE. Yeah there's arguably better back-rowers out there, at this point in time; I'll just take these 3 thanks. And we will wait and see who has the greatest impact on Australian rugby over the next 5 or so years (in absence of injury).
On the game, congratulations to Jeeps (first and the undefeated second grade); a great effort, by a club flying high over the last few years. I'm reasonably happy as a Brothers supporter at the moment, even though we didn't get those wins. They have come close enough in both games and I'd rather loose these games then a semi or pf. I don't know if Brothers will win the gf or semi's this year (I didn't really expect it this season) however, they are learning all the time about their opponents and are close enough to be a show. It's all making the competition competitive and strong, which is great.
