Well that wasn't great - beaten by Wests!!! Fortunately Bond are now out of the race and Sunnybank beaten so our chase for top 4 isn't over yet.

I think the Dammers resignation has hurt us. I know the club needs to move on but why the need to advertise for the role and therefore force the announcement on the players during this important period?

Why couldn't we approach some of the good assistants from other clubs on the quiet without announcing to players their current coach is moving on? If they all said no, we could advertise then. Maybe we did - maybe I'm not in the loop enough.

Who does the forum suggest we should have approached from other clubs or interstate before advertising?

Doesn't the win today v Norths give Uni the minor premiership? Even if they lose their remaining two games with no losing bonus points and Brothers win their remaining three with a bonus point, Uni will finish first based on number of wins.

Would appear that top 3 is set now but the run home for 4th is:
Snbk - Norths, Uni, Bye;
Bond - Bros, Bye, Wests;
GPS - Easts, Norths, Uni

The two games against Uni will be crucial to the respective chances of Sunnybank & GPS.

GPS will need to be ready for Easts at Bottomley next week - going on yesterday's form Easts will be a difficult proposition but Sunnybank & Bond both having the bye it gives GPS some optimism.

I have my money on Sunnybank making the 4 in what will be an interesting finals series.

Yes it would appear that Uni have secured the minor premiership with 3 games to play - great achievement by them but whoever else makes the finals will do everything they can to knock them off, and they have been in some close results recently but they keep winning them which is a good sign for them.

By my calculations the table after round 15 (I may have got some of the BPs from Round 15 wrong):
Uni 63
Bro 47
Sou 45
Snb 41
Bon 37
GPS 36
Nth 23
Est 19
Wst 16

The wooden spoon battle is still alive - the Bulldogs would love to deliver that to Bottomley Park.

Massive game for Bond v Bros in Round 16 at Toowoomba.

Bond/GPS could still catch Bro, Sou or Snb if any of them stall on their current points.

Does anyone rate Bond's chances of leapfrogging Sunnybank? I think that Bond will fall one win shy of the top 4.

GPS despite the fact they have one more game to play as opposed Snbk/Bond I don't think they'll make it, but if they beat Easts and Norths upset Sunnybank this week it will set the cat amongst the pigeons but I think they will have to topple Uni in round 18 to have any chance.

Bond will have to beat Brothers this weekend if they stand any chance of making the final four.

Bulldog, how do you rate Brothers chances? Bit of an up and down season but still within contention. Hopefully we finish 2nd.

Filth - I still think Brothers are a big chance - they'll need to find some form running into the finals - this weekend is massive in terms of their run in and they'll need good performances v Wests and Easts in round 17 & 18.

They'll probably need to win the remaining three to secure a major semi spot as Souths finish is Wests, Easts, Norths.

I think Brothers can make it to the last dance but I think they'd be itching to have first crack through a major semi.

I don't think Uni are unbeatable.

Suffice to say they are a better chance than the Bulldogs.

Bros really short on front-rowers this week. We're without Talakai, Mafi, Tupou and Henegan. Some up-and-coming piggies from Premier Colts '13, '14 and '15 (Postal for instance) left to fill the void for Brothers. All talented players, so should be a good encounter against the deadly Bond side in Toowoomba.

Good luck to your boys, Bulldog. Souths are getting stronger each week. Please do your rivals at Albion/Ascot a favour.

Norths v Sunnybank. Must win for the Bankers. Norths are an ever-improving team. They'll be without Brothers junior Tuttle but they may upset the men in green and black. Wouldn't be surprised if they do.

I imagine Tigers Tale and co. will be cheering on the Tigers this weekend at Easts. Another must win for the Gallopers if they aspire for finals. Easts are very strong in the scrum whilst GPS are in the backline. It should be a great encounter. Game of the Round for me.

Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Norths, Easts & Wests can all cause some head aches to their more fancied rivals over the last 3 rounds - I think one of these sides will taste success this week - I hope it is the Bulldogs.

Been a long time since the men from Sylvan Road have recorded back to back wins though.

I hope Byron Hutchinson keeps up his good form because I'd like to see him given a go in the NRC.

It will be a challenge at Chipsy Wood but if the wind blows you just never know.

I am sure that there'd be a few clubs hoping the Bulldogs could pull off the biggest upset of 2016.
