Re Nudgee team .
where is the new Fijian boy ? He is a certainty.
Plus 3 RL boys from Wavell-at least 1 (the biggest) will make it.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to watch Nudgee yet. I'm sure you're right and there will be plenty of new faces in the First XV come the trials. I should have a clearer picture closer to the season.

How about a crack at a Grammar Team , King

Grammar's a little tough..

I have it on good authority there is a new scrumhalf, whose identity is still a mystery. There may also be a winger, or he might have been a forward. I had the conversation late in the evening on UQ's Ladies Day.

The forwards are anyone's guess and I'm now sufficiently removed from the school that I don't even know who's in the pipeline.

Those who I know will likely feature:

1. ?
2. ?
3. Emile Tuimavave*
4. ?
5. ?
6. ?
7. Will Borger*
8. Ollie Shepherd*
9. New scrumhalf.
10. Daejarn Asi
11. Will Ramsey*
12. Dennis Waight (http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au...s/news-story/97345aacd252c722614cc931cf6ffb59)
13. Tom Gilbert*
14. ?
15. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow

Edited in surnames for clarity, but I haven't heard of these other guys SOLE334. Who are they?

Thank you for the surnames KING.
my source suggests:
  1. Sef is a tall lanky yr 11 lock.
  2. Akiai is a yr 12 boy who has lots of speed but not sure how he will transition into 1st XV standard.
  3. Tai Watkins is a league guy. Apparently very fast but is susceptible to the high ball.
I do like your NUDGEE probables team. My only eye raiser is Xavier Soli! at 10. Thought hes more a 12 or 13. What happened to Ethan (league boy at 10)?
Same with Isaiah Naawi at fullback. Has a background in soccer, so perhaps can kick, BUT!! hope hes improved his catching skills.. .
Hows Phransis suspect shoulder?. .otherwise great team.

Had a chance to check up on GT's training this afternoon. Can confirm the squads separation into multiple XV's. Also shocked to see prop powerhouse Aiden Latter from GT's 2016 15A's playing on the right wing. Looked as if they are practising moves to try and utilise his weight and sheer agility in the backline. Terrace perhaps looking for some size on the edge of their backline?

I heard this week that a number (4) of players from this years BSHS under 15's have recently moved across to GT on scholarship. I am somewhat suspect of the integrity of the information, however like all rumours there is always a mustard seed of truth. GT were on the rise last year and I think if this is accurate or close to accurate, they are a very good chance of taking out the season.

Could you give a reliable source for this information?

I think it will probably be Funaki and Galis in the Front row with Latter and Mavaega playing off the bench from the 16's.

YES, later has some mean size and i believe Gt are planning on putting on as a 12 late in the second half to bash it up

It seems none of you are aware of the year 11 Fijian prodigy from terrace by the name of Max Poteri. I'm telling you, expect to see this man appearing in the squad of the 1st XV this year and the next with big hits that would put some of the all blacks to shame! Weighing in at 137kg with a height of 6 foot on the dot, he's going to be the driving force behind terrace's premiership contest this year. The talent on this young man is unquestionable and i wouldn't be ruling out a feature on The waterboy's youtube channel!

Must be that time of the year... Welcome to the 2017 class of GAGR trolls.

SOLE, if memory serves me correctly then Soli was a distributing centre, playing outside the crash and bash of Tom Gilbert in the QLD U15s of a few years back.

I would have presumed #10 to be a natural fit for his skillset but happy to stand corrected. Is he any relation to Latrell?

Breaking: Terrace is set to employ some size in their First XV front row with the late inclusion of Liam Gunn younger brother of Michael (Reds), at 191cm and very nimble, Gunn could be a very useful inclusion into the Terrace side.

you mean late inclusion to squad or School .
if to the school - then he is " full fee " paying student of course( like Richie A was) or cant play 1st xv.. Only question is: who is paying the fees?
Terrace have form on this- Digby Ione comes to mind.

I'll have a crack at a Nudgee team. New imports would throw a spanner in the works, but this could be similar to how they line up.

1. Tom Forde
2. ?
3. Phransis Sula-Siaosi
4. Mitch Wood
5. Harrison Cannon
6. Ethan Bullemor
7. Alex Colvin
8. Bailey Tautau
9. Phoenix Hunt
10. Xavier Soli
11. Jangala Bennett
12. Joe Small (c)
13. Ryan Shepherd
14. Tom Blackmore
15. Isaiah Naawi

I figured Shepherd's size makes him a logical switch to #13, while Isaiah Naawi's speed could see him fit the Willie Malala mould at fullback.

Hopefully someone at Nudgee can confirm, is Josh Preval a senior this year? If he is we should expect him to feature somewhere in the team.

- Alex Colvin has already been cut from the Squad
- Blackmore has more experience at 13 rather than Shepherd.
- Soli at 10 ??
- Naawi has never played 15 in his life

I hear the 122kg Prop, Aiden Latter (16) is a late inclusion into the first xv squad. With his fitness and strength well above the average prop in the comp he will be a real struggle to stop and create a huge impact for the Gregory terrace XV. having struggled to make the 16B team, with his crippling ankle injury. it is a thankful site to see the big man back at his best competing for the first xv berth.

Bianco,
The least you can do is get your assumptions half accurate. ONLY 2 boys left BSHS for GT. One was a regular in 14A's the other in and out of B's. One went to league.
Anyway it is funny. BSHS will finish top 2, I think GT will go well and will be competitive. . top 4 finish.

Must have got hit by a train on their way to Terrace.
All 5 have still not arrived

Please tell them to hurry up as we are currently in Pre season or has there been a closure of train lines I should be aware of?

MLB - have a swing, you clearly are well-informed, please keep us up to date. Your insight is well-received from the other GAGR readers.

At Nudgee, coaches are officially considering moving 2016 No.8 Joe Small to #12 but no final decision has been made.

At TSS, I've gotten confirmation that Tautau Kapea has left the school in ugly circumstances - and not entirely his own fault it would seem. He has since moved back to powerhouse Hamilton Boys High in NZ in a major blow for Southort.

For an early team prediction, TSS may line up:

1. Zane Nonggor
2. ?
3. Egan Siggs*
4. Tom van der Schyff
5. Wilson Blyth
6. ?
7. ?
8. Reno Gerard
9. Jim Chapman
10. Campbell Parata*
11. Dan Burns*
12. Noah Lolesio*
13. Koen Dovey*
14. Lotario Nona
15. Max Dowd *(C)

23. Ronan Kapi

I witnessed Angus play for Brothers U16's Div 1's two weeks ago against a very strong Easts outfit filled with multiple Churchie and Terrace players which outclassed them in the end 17-5 with star performers Max Drummond(ACGS) and Louis Jorgensen(GT). Henderson played an outstanding game, he has the ability to get to every breakdown and has slick footwork and pace for a prop. Has the nack to keep going while he copped a bit of lip from those grubby supporters down at Tigerland. Another prospect for NC's 1st XV that partnered Henderson in this Brothers outfit is Thomas Callow - an absolute weapon. Callow covered over 5 positions on the pitch which can only mean he will be a crucial utility for NC this year. Look out for these two future prodigies - should be featuring on The Waterboy's channel in no time.
