I'm a bit surprised at the lack of talk about NC in the U15's, it seems that everyone are rating BBC, IGS and GT as the top 3, whilst there has been little talk about NC. They dominated GT's QLD Maroon outside backs with little effort and a slow start was the only reason that there was only a 10 point margin. Call me crazy but I truly think the NC vs BBC will be a heavily contested match.

Wow amazing how much Nudgee can improve in one year.?? BBC put 50 on them in 14As last year.
NC 15 A s in 2016 NC beat BBC with a try after the bell -yet in 2015 BBC put 40 on them.
Funny that- and all that change "with a handful on new boys" and great coaching !

I’m told this year NC have 8 new players in the 15s, and some of them are out injured too.

Meanwhile my sons 15 side which was walloping teams the last two years is struggling going down to GT on the weekend. And whomever said “QLD maroons” to describe some of those GT boys is kidding themselves, there is one super star in that GT side but the rest were ordinary. My sons team were a tad upset at losing to them.

pretty rough on that terrace side. To say 'the rest were ordinary' in a team that beat your sons side would imply something about the BSHS side itself, which is a strong outfit. Please refrain from taking those sort of shots.

Keegan Vandenberg is the centre for terrace and he was selected in the U15 QLD maroons team, so that is why I described him like that.

Schools should really release all their students for the State Championships such as this so the best players are on display. Some schools prevented their students from trialling or forced them to withdraw once selected. Will players benefit more from participating in a carnival against the best players in the State as part of the future pathways process, or play one game for their school for an Under 15 team where a premiership is all that seems to matter?

That's actually a good question considering the quality of the GPS system.

I think there isn another comp U15 at TSS in September, during the school holidays . So I can only assume that the GPS representation will be stronger. Having it on the holidays makes far more sense.

The comp that TSS is hosting in the Sept holidays is the U16 Aust Championships, similar to the open schoolboys a few weeks ago. Qld announce their teams ( 1&2 ) after this weekend's games. Apparently instead of the U17 Gold Cup that has been scrapped.

Can the states get their crap in order so that these age comps don't hurt each other and other school boy comps? To many chiefs in Australian rugby.

Does anybody know which games will be online this weekend? Hoping to get a first look at BBC.

Groundhog day-I hear the injury curse has hit BBc again and 1 1st xv player is gone for the year, another one doubtful- and and Aussie schools player will be playing in an unusual position.

B&W I can't ever work out if you are the super sleuth for the Banyo Bugle or the Toowong Tribune but for a man from the blue &white you spend a lot of time blogging about BBC. Don't spend too much time worrying about it mate they won't beat NC like they did last year that was history enough in the making particularly as they play at NC this year.
