...to play the match that the college has been dreading on since last year.

love the report SH - except for the last line - genuine Premiership contenders don't care who they play - they just love to compete/beat everyone! I suspect the dread/nerves may be from the supporters in the stands.

BBC have a bunch of rep Gold Coast players in their 1st XV:
1. Kahn Helms
2. Kareem Tuaga
3. Luke Peterson
5. Dylan Leyland
9. Max Dempsey
I have heard number of them have personal reasons to ensure TSS are aware of this.

Ah...a bit of extra incentive. Will be a cracker of a match

BBC lineup for GT this weekend:

1. Kahn Helms
2. Connor Christianson
3. Luke Peterson
4. Darcy Taimiua-Swain
5. Tom Davidson
6. Ben Gunter
7. Christian Malaula
8. Lachlan Foulds
9. Max Dempsey
10. Tiaontin Roaren
11. Len Ikatua
12. Jerumi Nanai
13. Sam Edwards
14. Ben Simpson
15. Nathaniel Carswell

shit-even I have to admit that when Leyland comes back that is a big forward pack.The front row is massive.

Queries
1) Christianson is a prop not a hooker?;
2)Why not give big Syd a go on the wing?(it would take 2 to stop him);
3) Gunther is too big for 6(they cant lift him);
4) surely when Farrell comes back-Foulds will go back to 12?

Jaydn Ngamu (jet-shoes) is a big loss.

3 under 16 players in back-line.No goalkicker?

So we know that we are going to Give GT a touch up but what about BSHS and NC. Rumour is BSHS only really have 1 team each age group. Is this true? Might be a product of the poor recruitment over years and poor coaches . But have heard about new coaches in the system including prem coach and old Nudgee coach . Maybe need a change of head coach to attract some players . Also heard NC are using non teachers as A coaches this year. . This is going to be a very interesting season .wonder if this week changes anything for the season ahead
Don't be too cocky - just like BBC V GT last year and look what happened

Oracle . You are kidding yourself . That is a big fast back line from GT and a tiny BBC. Back line .looks like a game of opposites with a massive BBC forward pack.
Why are Foulds and Smith not in the centres together like every expected.
On paper the Churchie back line is streets ahead of every other team.
Father with a boy at Broncos told me Jaydn Sua is red hot

Christianson playing hooker while Tuuga out. He's played hooker in Rocky. Versatile and mobile player, great to see some depth finally at BBC.

Yep - As I said - don't be too cocky to a comment saying BBC are going to give GT a towelling - they thought the same thing last year but it was the size if the heart that won that convincingly for GT. However it is just a trial Digby and I reckon Barker may just have analysed this season in detail and knows what he is up to.

Dylan Leyland resting a shoulder injury, Jack Farrel resting an ankle, Syd Smith playing 16s, Jayden Ngamu resting ankle, Kareem Tuuga resting knee. Not at strength and haven't been since the nudgee and ipswitch gps trial. Farrel and Leyland will come back into the team forcing one listed above out, either Malaula or Foulds will go to 2nds. Christianson to be replaced by Kareem. Ngamu to come back into the team with Carswell returning to the 16s. And Syd to find some form and straight running in the 16s, might make an debut depending on form and injuires. Carswell to be the replacement wing/fullback. Sam Edwards will most likely stay at 13 if not move back to a wing forcing a younger boy to move back into 16s. BBC by 20+ points up against a small GT forward pack and a league filled backline. Should be an interesting game but no chance GT will win. BBC will still have to play well and get this last game over before heading to the coast to play the match that the college has been dreading on since last year.
Your knowledge is impressive.And agree if they should not make too much of any one team.
The Gold Coast boys need to not let TSS be their boogie team.
I hear big Syd would rather play 16As and is over the politics of BBC 1st rugby and just wants to enjoy playing with his mates.
Len is the preferred kicker but have heard he isn't much liking the added pressure, but has been practicing as Barker has instructed.
Len is Barkers favoured player out of last years 15A's he will play him where he can to fill any part of the backline to have him in the team and Len has the talent to play any position.
Just concerned that they don't have a specialised kicker who loves kicking ( makes a big difference)

Breaking news: Title favourites BBC "touch up" GT by losing 22-19.

Hope we don't lose that confident banter now!!

Same as last year GT back row dominated the game. BBC scrum was better but certainly didn't dominate the smaller pack. GT backline looked great at times even without first choice Half, Flyhalf and Fullback.

GT showed the blueprint for beating College today, run it run it and then run it some more. Colleges big pack were out on their feet before half time.GT line out surprisingly dominated and backs always dangerous.
College suffered a series of injuries not sure if any serious.
Was disappointed at the lack of teams fielded by BBC today was pretty much terrace v terrace till midday, with very few college boys staying to watch the firsts.

Neither of Terrace's first choice halves played today. Also, captain is Maroney.

Moroney will prove MVP of the comp this year the guy is just dominant all over the park, wins every one on one confrontation and disrupts so much opposition ball - super footballer.

I'd say Alex Mafi would have something to say about that. Returning Aus Schoolboy. That's a big statement seeing there is a lot of talent running around. (Including Moroney)

Didn't say best, said Most Important, GT will go as far as Moroney can take them, not a one man team, but without him GT forwards size will be more obvious. But quietly he just might be the best footballer in the comp anyway but that will always be opinion.
