As a request for anyone who watches a game and puts in a post, if you see the team lists, please post them, and if you see who scored a try, make a note of the number and post it also. It would be nice to have stats on who played and who scored tries in any game.

Coulda shoulda woulda. at East Brisbane today.

Refereeing aside there are two sides who really gave it to each other today. It was exciting to watch. not just because of the closeness of the score.

Churchie's centre pairing was dangerous every time they handled but as the game wore on seemed less likely to come up with the big plays.

Angus S-Y was 'out' according to some during the week and then ran on. There was not a great deal between the forwards early but by the end of the game BBC's pack was embarrassingly dominant. Tight head, very dirty ball from the Churchie scrum were the key elements in Churchie being in a position to lose.

For such a big guy I thought Harley Fox was a little quiet.

Unsure whether it was when Richie A came on midway thru the second half, but the Churchie scrum crumbled. Was it an injury or tactical substitution that saw Richie come on? Either way the complexion of the game changed about then.

With 10 to go BBC was pushing too hard to come up with the miracle play trailing by 5. To their credit they steadied and earned the final try.

There are days when you sit there and say the ref had a shocker. Today wasn't one of those days. The Churchie website says "Making of Men". Men accept that sometimes even when the ref is wrong . he is still right. When the final whistle blows that is the end of the game.

Just for clarification: The clock showed 0.00 before the last kick-off. It stopped every time the referee blew time-off.

True, the clock was stopping with the ref: the last kick-off was after full-time. BBC kicked out as soon as they could. Will have to view the video to see, but BBC 2nd row was out of the game with injury, his replacement ran on -actually after full time.
Shame some posters just need to suck-it-up: pity to talk down what was one of the best game of schoolboys rugby. The lead swapped hands a number of times, hard, fast game.
Clash of styles in the backs: Churchie crashing through and BBC speed and style. BBC dominated the scrums at critical times with a number of tight head wins.

well now, dont you look silly^^
Mr Caviar - you were half right BBC did make silly errors and Boyer- Bowen did push passes , their line out was a shambles and they had 3 penalties in attacking positions where they failed to find touch. That is what kept ACGS in the match !but gee the Churchie 10,12& 13 are exciting. Why did Churchie put that new boy on at half-time in front row none of their old boys that I was with new who he was .?

This is a fair summary . The. BBC forwards did get well on top. As shown by the fact that 4 of their 5 tries were by forwards . Churchie 10,12and 13 were sensational but I thought apart from that there was not much else to break the line.for mind Russell and Leyland were the best players on the field followed by tanivula and Perese . Great game of schoolboy rugby.

Great day of Rugby at Churchie today's- the fields looked magnificent . ACGS won 13A,14A and 16A with a penalty on full time.
BBC won 15A 22-5 and 2nds 25-5 in a lop sided match where ACGS scored on the bell. McLean keeps scoring tries for BBC 2nds.
The 15A match was a cracker and the BBC team played like the undefeated team they are.Keep an eye out for the 2 fullbacks Ikatau for BBC and Pongia for ACGS- 2 stars of the future . Apparently they are both in the Qld rugby league team together - which explains why they were hanging together after the match. With 2 more today that takes Ikatau to 8 tries this year.

The 1sts was a great game of running schoolboy rugby. The centre pairing for ACGS were dangerous but ultimately the BBC forwards were well on top and they deserved the 33-31 victory .BBC still making many basic mistakes and line out again poor - but with Wilkins back next week - where will they play him?

I predict Nudgee will win every game not on TSS main oval. Average margin 30+.
Nudgee to lose every game on TSS main oval. Thats 16A's & Opens 1 - 4.
At Nudgee last year NC similarly didn't win 1 of these games.

Your strike rate is nil out 100

BBC HAD 16 PLAYERS ON THE FIELD BEFORE FINAL WHISTLE!!! WHAT A SHAM. CHURCHIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARDED A PENALTY!!!
Look up definition of "sook" it had no bearing on the match.however your new boy who plays prop and does not know his teammates names certainly had an impact.

If I was coaching BBC today; my game plan would be to take

on Churchie in the forwards. ;)

Last week, Nudgee bombed four tries by stupi

They scored their only try with a simple pick n drive (very soft).

Control possession by being first to rucks and mauls.

Keep Churchie contained in their half with tactical kicking (Bowyer).

ACGS greatest strength is their backline - Mason,Tanuvasa, Perese.

Remember, you can't score points if you haven't got the pill.

BBC must maintain territorial advantage.

Frustration will set in and cheap penalties will prevail.

Hope Josh Bowyer has his radar boots on.

Stick to this plan and you are well on the way to victory. :D

Dear Taipan . I take my hat off to you . You know your stuff or you have a crystal ball because that is exactly how it panned out. Mate - we need your predictions for next week.!!

I think you will find that the only boy on the BBC15A team that has scored 8 tries is Kris Verevis on the wing. However Ikitau did play well, as did the whole team.

Can anyone post BBC 15A team line-up. (2015 potential premiers)

Thanks

BBC Potential Premiers?? Really
State High 15A team came within 5 points of Beating and they have never imported. State Highs 15A back line was disjointed as well with players out of position due to injurys. They also destroyed BBC in the trial Game when they had only one player out .
If BBC have to Buy there Premierships i dont think that is in the spirit of GPS Rugby

Serious? That whole State High team is on scholarships, how many of them actually live in the catchment area??? It's still a scholarship even if its a state school.
