talking about the issue of flankers in the GPS. I believe that digger is the most overated player in the comp. i also believe that toby mcnamee is the most unfit, slow and physically uncapable of playing the game on rugby union. I went out and watched the game of NC vs ACGS it was seen that Maclean Jones after some good runs was very lazy and didnt show capablitity of being in australia A.

My tips for this weekend:
TSS vs NC. TSS by 14: TSS will be to good on the day.
ACGS vs BBC. BBC by 10. Electric backs will be to good. 10,12,13,15. gonna be a good match up though.
BSHS vs IGS. BSHS by 5. State high till i die.
GT vs TGS. GT by 3. although terraces number 5,12 and 15 need to pick up there games.
BGS Bye.

Righto punters and supporters it's Thursday. Time for some intel and some ins and outs.

ACGS - the new recruit that has caused so much hooha on here - will play against BBC.
BBC - wil play their strongest backline despite what some are saying
NC - Lutzy is back at OC
TSS - will be close to full strength. Possibly one missing

That's my mail.

Anything else from around the grounds?

Wilkins did not play last week & will not play this week.Which means -shut Bowen down and you have no x factor. So where is Noel Mclean(an x factor player).?in the 2nds.! Conrad Quick is also doubtful.
So BBC cannot win .

There 15A team is a different matter all together. The fullback scoring al thetries should be in the 1sts as should Mclean.

Agree with most of your tips TSS Mum - except TSS - i think it will be closer than that. TSS havent been tested this season and may be surprised by a rebounding , game hardened Nudgee.
Not sure who was "talking about the issue of flankers ", but cant however agree with your playing the man and not the ball with your comments on the players you mention - from what i have seen of them, they are enterprising, solid players - your comments are a bit harsh and sound a bit like sour grapes on your part maybe ??

Have you seen BBC's backline? They demolished TGS and the score should of been 36-0 in BBCs favour if they didnt make some silly errors. Actually silly errors have been there letdown this season. Not one time did TGS break their line. The team almost upset nudgee on their home ground. 2 seconds quicker and the pass would have gone to the winger and it would of been trytime 33-32 to BBC. That did not Happen and the end score was 39-28.

Only reason BBC came close to upsetting NC was red card of Magnay.

Up to then, Nudgee had game under control and switched off.

Agree Vegas - and I confess that I haven't been diligent enough in vetting such stuff.

Posters should refer to the Rules of the Schoolboy forum thread from time to time.

In post # 5 it mentions:

2. Speak respectfully about the players

-------------------------------------------------------------
This is my take on that rule:

If you feel that a player should be criticised do it as you would if you were talking about a young relative.

Thus: I believe that Bill Bloggs is the most overated player in the comp

Should become: Bill Bloggs does not appear to be living up to his reputation at the moment.

And: Fred Nerk is the most unfit, slow and physically uncapable of playing the game on rugby union.

Should become: Fred Nerk seems to be unfit and lacks pace. In my opinion he is not suited to playing GPS 1st XV rugby at this time.

And: Neville Nobody, after making some good runs, was very lazy and didn't show capability of being in Australia A.

Should become: Neville Nobody made some good runs but his work rate was not impressive after that. On that performance he did not look like an Australia A level player.

See the difference? In doing what I suggested you would still be criticising the player, but you would not be showing him disrespect.

What you wrote said more about yourself than the player.

Word is that Wilkins is out but Quick will play.
McLean will play seconds. His attack is top drawer but he is a bit individual at times, even though that has improved the last few weeks - I would pick him in 1sts if I was coach! Digby, BBC has other x factors than Bowyer (Bowen) - Tauakipulu, Russell, Quick, both wingers. Bowen is certainly the most dangerous in open play, but create space and many GWB can utilise it.
If BBC play the full 70 and improve their lineout throwing they can certainly win - ball retention will be key for both sides. I am already looking forward to Sat on the sidelines.

Is there injuries at Nudgee? or does the return of Hussey to the 1sts and Richard Aitsi put the likes of Calugay and Charl Smith in the 2nds, does anyone have a nudgee 2nds teamlist for this weekend?

What's the story with Josh Robinson from TGS?
