Which TSS boys in particular? Next year's competition is shaping up nicely with plenty of strong returning talent.

James Tuttle NC
Tyrone Hussey NC
Maclean Jones NC
Riley Brennan NC
Jayden Rodwell NC
Paulo Leleisiuao NC

Junior Fakaosilea BBC
Bronson Tauakipulu BBC

Jamason Fa'anana-Schultz IGS
Latham Takau IGS

Isaac Nathan TSS

All of those boys have been regular starters for their respective schools and/or feature prominently on the representative scene. Looking for especially big years from Mafi, Fakaosilea, Takau, Nathan, Marsden, Morrey and MacMillan.

Digger MacMillan is year 12, the only 1st XV members returning:

12. Jaidon Schafer
13. Nigel Vanuseva (QLD II)

Not one member of the Churchie 16A's made QLD U16.

Nigel is supposedly a big force for ACGS - he didn't play against BGS so I didn't see him. How is he and what potential does he have?

6 year 11's have had some 1st XV game time for churchie this year. 5 of them have started. Nigel is injured. And Macmillian is in year 11.

Yes I know Nigel is injured, he went down early against Nudgee. Are you sure regarding MacMillan, thought he was born in '95.

Another bleak year for ACGS to come?

It will be especially bleak if no changes are made to the coaching staff although as we all know, teaching staff across the country are not paid on performance like people in the commercial workforce. It will be interesting to see what Churchie's end of season synopsis will be....

Tip: Jones, Bell and Nucifora to be shown the door.

Pretty certain MacMillan in year 11 this year. Played First XV last year when 16 but in year 10. Can also remember him in a Year 11 rowing crew this year.

Bit of both. Also injuries to 2012 seniors Jack heenan and Xavier Power have resulted in some year 11s having to step up to the plate, but then again injuries are bound to happen. Not sure how next year will go, rumour has it that there is a flanker coming from state high (Year 10-2012), for me next year could come down to whether there is a good flyhalf available (Not sure about 15As this year)

Agree with you on needing a good flyhalf, but also a good halfback as well. The flyhalf in the Terrace 15A's this year was Alex Horan. Played u15 Met North, but not sure how well he actually plays.

Did Paulo end up getting a run in the Firsts this year? Health issues kept him out since July and when I saw him play just recently it was in the u16's.

From my knowledge, the year 11's at TSS that have experienced First XV are as follows:

Jake Lyon - #2
Jake Upfield - #4
Evander Guttenbiel - #5/8
Luke Papworth - #6/7
Joel Brown #6/7
Ed Gibson #9/10/12/15
Nili Fielea #11/12
Fred Dorrough #10/12
Isaac Nathan #14

The thing that sets these players apart are the fact that I would regard Lyon, Guttenbiel, Papworth and Fielea as genuine key players for the current team. I see serious rep potential in all of them. Nonetheless, next year is next year, and if this year has proven anything, it is that you cannot make predictions based on trials and teamsheets. Best of luck to Nudgee and Grammar this weekend.
