Jeez don't know the spelling of proper name but supposedly fees are being paid at TSS by the ARU - kid is from South Australia - islander boy (but may have been born in OZ - don't know) - lovely kid from all reports - plays 10, 12 and good kicker - looks a bit over 6ft and 90 ish kg - fast, elusive and very very skilful. will make some enquiries re correct name

He is a really good talent.I have watched him carve up teams over the past few years,he had a few runs in the 1sts and handled himself beautifully.One of the best I have seen at TSS in the past 5 years and there have been some good ones.He has it all,defence,attack,speed,good hands.Hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later.Good luck young man.
It seems to be a curse at TSS that they lose a very high calibre player before the season starts e.g. Jack Bruton ( 07),Mark Swanapoel ( 08),Jarred Butler ( 09).Oh well, I guess you can't help bad luck.I t probably happens at every school.Good luck to all teams this year.

You have seen him carve up over the years? I am told that he attended TSS the week the GPS season started last year and that he came directly from Adelaide so I take it you are from Adelaide then? I have seen him play and he is talented but no more than a dozen other backs in the comp.

Disagree - saw him in some 16's matches in 2010 and a couple of games in 1ST XV (as a benchie) - kid was by far the most talented kid I SAW - don't know about others from GPS schools for this year - only now and again talwnted kids like Beale JOC (James O'Connor) Horne and this bloke come along

BSHS v ACGS; 3 tries to none to BSHS. Very solid game, both teams seemingly even at first with CGS looking promising for an early try but held out by excellent defence by BSHS. Fitness was a huge facet for the SH win as 2 of the 3 tries were in the dying minutes of the game and were provided by excellent forwards play. Yes, SH boast a new player of african decent, though he starred for the 16s and absolutely terrorised his opponents, should see a few bench appearances from this lad. CGS halfback is a huge motivator for his pack, number 9 for QLD16s red last year and should see some excellent performances throughout the year. Major facet for this churchie side is also in their no. 7 connor mitchell and centre soape palau, hard runner with big fend but quieter than usual. Huge pack fielded for both teams, front row of CGS slightly bigger but again proving less fitter as the later scrums were dominated by the SH pack. Overall, a seemingly even bout and is a great indication that the competition is becoming tighter and more challenging for the 'top 3' NC, BSHS and TSS
Also had a view of the St. Augustines v Villanova match at BSHS home grounds. My word what a shocking performance by what was meant to be the premiership side of AIC footy 2011 in villa. Captained by QLD16s 2 second row, scott mains, but no where near their best performer in comparison to their hook. Augustines boast awesome talent in their centres and just piled the points through these 2 and their wings.
My predictions and top few players to watch out for from each side;
?. NC- billy brittain, jack tuttle, sean mcmahon, kristian satui, craig hunt, feleti kaituu, francois postal
?. BSHS- curtis browning, ben meehan, chris sautia, sam kerevi, sam taylor, liume maile, craig sharpe, brandon khuu
?. IGS- maile ngauamo, khaele bowen, matt gordon, denzel king, tasi tasi, eddie vakautu
?. TSS- UJ seuteni, matt fairnington, lachy duncan, paraka (prop with twinkle toes)
(it'll be tight between these 4)
5. ACGS- soape palau, connor mitchell, darcy eason, lachy young, lachy oppenheimer
6. BBC- gareth kalell, ben tarr, peter jaffe, misimoa feao
7. BGS- grant davies, cody blackhurst, levi aumua, lakhem aiono, blake laud
8. TGS- matthew george
9. GT- i really don't think there will be a major facet to this side, they'll have to accustom themselves to what can be achieved through pride and team work..

I can tell you now BGS will finish a lot higher than 7th, especially with talent like Lakhem Aiona, Blake Laud and Josh Burche.

Saw last night's Suncorp curtain raisers.Post-match wrap up. NC got beaten by Churchie but won against TSS .....both games close but deeply unattractive rugby from all 3 teams............flowing backline plays a la the Ellas of the '70's just doesn't seem to happen these days............perhaps GPS coaches need to have a good hard look at themselves in light of the quality of rugby served up last night.....I wouldn't call it rubbish but damn close to it.....maybe I am a harsh critic but the reality was the wingers in all 3 sides hardly handled the ball .........one NC winger touched the ball maybe 3 times in 70 mins of playing time....not good enough....on one of those rare occasions he scored .....in the corner.............the highlight of an otherwise very ordinary night of GPS footy from a spectator point of view......... looks like if you are a winger in GPS rugby, unless you go looking for the ball, it's unlikely to come to you at the end of a sweeping backline move...hopefully all 3 sides stayed back to watch the REDs backs last night.........much better game (as you would expect)...........
