G-Man,
Doesn't really matter if another boy was doing damage - action should have been to "wrap" the lad up to stop him from trangressing further, not to allegedly cheap shot him - anyway boys will be boys !!!!!

Think you are probably right about other team members liking playing with Liam - HOWEVER if too many penalties etc start to decide matches other players attitudes as well as that of the Coach will change quickly.

The lad is a talent, no question. A bit of added weight, tempered agression and I can see a real future :)

Ok chappies - perhaps we might wrap up this segment on Liam as things are getting emotional and not necessarily based on objective informed comment.

Whispers,
Thankfully I do understand the nuances of back row play. The odd penalty is inevitable but should be very limited otherwise games are lost, possession overturned, and loss of field position ensures.

On your comment, was only interpreting on a "narrow" basis

A good example was the game on saturday where subtly conceived penalties were the prefered option to a 7 pointer when the Boks were on the rampage.
Shooter - it's always dangerous to interpret on a purely formalistic basis, extrinsic words and comments are always going to give a more substantive understanding of the intent.

Ah - a simplistic view - of course an optimist would say that the Boks would have dropped the ball - wallaby picks up, runs 80m and scores under the posts !!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

A bit Hobbsonian formalism there shooter, what no room for a bit of compassion and leeway.
