What is going on in here? This Forum is starting to look less like a GPS rugby discussion and more like a Year 9 group chat. It's like every GPS school kid with a smartphone and too much time on their hands has decided this is the new playground. Threads about rugby turning into full blown banter fests about who's got the best mullet in 4ths? Like come on.

These boys are like a contagious disease. One joker starts talking rubbish and suddenly ten more chime in talking about what they had for lunch at the tuckshop. It's like forum leprosy, one gets banned and another one pops up 30 seconds later with worse grammar and even more confidence.

Look, I don't want to go full authoritarian dictator here but if this keeps up we might be staring down the barrel of the same fate as the CAS Forum whcihw as buried with no funeral. And trust me, I’ve got deep links across GPS schools so I know where the skeletons are buried, and I’m not afraid to start making phone calls.

Now I may be a cranky old bastard with a keyboard and a grudge against TikTok but I care about this forum. It's not just a website, it's a temple. A sacred place where we can argue about front row selections and mourn the decline of schoolboy scrummaging technique...

So here's a tip: if you're gonna post, bring substance or at least spellcheck. Otherwise don't be shocked if your account gets vanned faster than a boarder trying to sneak Macca's past the supo.

As many of you know, I am deeply passionate about philanthropy and have long supported the World’s Greatest Shave—a cause that holds great personal significance. I was recently delighted to learn that Gregory Terrace will be participating in this meaningful initiative.

Notably, students such as Ollie Nasser, Charlie Hollyman, George Hales, Connor Clifford, Will Dennis, Harry Jackson, Archie Ilott, Nick Weir, Tom Weir and Rupert McGrath have all committed to shaving their heads in a powerful act of solidarity and compassion. Their courage and selflessness are truly inspiring.

One can't help but wonder whether this bold gesture will imbue them with new strength—perhaps even causing them to glide across the rugby field like leaves on the wind, scoring explosive tries with grace and fervour. Whatever the outcome, their actions stand as a testament to the spirit of generosity and unity that defines their community.

Hey Mate,
I'm pretty sure BBC are heading down to the Goldie to face off against TSS. Big task for the boys from Toowong as they prepare to handle the handle the man mountain, Kingsley Uys.
Yeah, thanks RR, that's not an easy task but the TSS boys haven't been too sharp taking a couple of Losses, and by the looks of it, BBC have had some convincing wins. I believe they have it in the bag.

Questions to Stir the Soul this Wednesday Morning

Will the enduring might of Nudgee College rise once more, or shall the emerald tide of Brisbane Boys’ College—bold and ascending—claim their place among the greats?

Are The Southport School truly forged in steel and grit, or merely gallant show ponies dancing beneath the Gold Coast sun?

And what of Toowoomba Grammar—perched on the heights and shrouded in doubt—do they possess the quiet fire to silence the sceptics and etch their legacy in defiance?

Let the games answer what words cannot.

I'll be getting out of the house this Saturday to watch TGS thats for sure. Interesting to see how they will go after 2 tough losses. One thing about school footy is that it can come down to who plays with more confidence. Defending the mountain against a BSHS side that has gone under the radar in this forum during the pre season will be no easy feat. Should be a firey game on a usual cold and windy day up the range!!!

The forum's gone downhill faster than a winger with fresh boots on a dry track. What used to be a goldmine for proper schoolboy rugby chat, real insights, inside scoops, and nostalgic yarns from blokes who knew their stuff, has now become an echo chamber of teenage dribble. I miss the old guard, the forumers who could name every GPS premiership since '96 and debate whether the 2014 Churchie pack could take on the 2006 TSS backline without it turning into a scrap. Now it’s full of wide-eyed Year 10s hyping up their 4th XV mates like they’re the second coming of David Pocock. Apparently, tackling your own teammate in training is now enough to earn “future Wallaby” status. The season hasn’t even kicked off and already the Spring Hill brigade from BGS have flooded every thread with predictions, propaganda, and paragraphs that make less sense than their defensive structure. This used to be a place where you came for banter and breakdown analysis. Now it’s just broken takes and a whole lot of noise. Bring back the footy heads. Bring back the insight. Bring back the forum.

totally agree with you quick tap but just wondering can you name all the GPS winners since '96?
