Hey mate cheers i'm excited to be one of the newest members to this well tied together community. Just a quick correction, the BGS 6 was played by the well-known Dyer Akauola AKA ''hot tub''. The BGS rugby custodian was a well-respected member of the BGS first XV last year holding up the back of the scrum for Bgs. Returning this year to the role of flanker in this new era of grammar rugby. I'm very excited to see what he has to offer from his side of the scrum.

PREDICTIONS for the weekend in the threesome.
BGS v IGS - (21-14)
BGS v GT - (12-7)
GT v IGS - (7-21)

Signing out, Cliffo.4.X
Great predictions there Cliffo.4.X. I agree with you here, GT don't have the tikka to compete with BGS and IGS this weekend. Looking forward to a great weekend of trials.

Cheers,
D.F

People People,
Please No dowlands blabber in this forum. Keep it as the real schools.

Cmon on now, I understand this is a GPS forum but this team does deserve some conversation from time to time. I believe the boys up the hill actually beat a full strength BGS side earlier in the term. They are most defiently a real school thanks FFF.
Gday Lads,

Just wondering how my old team, the boys up the hill, are doing. Haven't seen them in a while and was wondering some insight, are there any star players amongst the mighty griffins of DLC?
I believe they are going well from all reports winning agaisnt some big teams and a few scabbing a QLD schoolboy jerseys.

It wasnt a full strength BGS side I believe as many of the boarders and Met North League boys were unavailable so again it was a seconds and first mixed team, not taking anything away from the boys on the hill.

Just throwing it out there for discussion, who do you reckon are the top 5/10 players the GPS system has ever produced? Based on their schoolboy careers, professional success, or impact on the game, however you want to judge it. Would love to hear different takes from across the generations.

Cheers,

Lets talk inside centres:

A pivotal position that holds the defence together like a sticky glue, and does a lot of hard work in attack, versatility is key!!

1. Treyvon Pritchard (ACGS - BEST PLAYER IN THE ENTIRE COMP - FIGHT ME)
2. Finn Kendall (IGS - Absolute animal)
3. Harper Enasio (BGS - all around great player)
4. Frank Iraguha (GT - STRENGTH AND SIZE)
5. Kiama Jione (BBC - he is a great player but needs time in the backline before he moves up this list)
6. Sio Va'a (TSS - I might have gotten this name wrong but he is a young fella with a lot of impact and a big motor, no doubt he will improve as the season goes on)
7. Taoso Taoso (BSHS)
8. Bond Bradley (NC)
9. TGS KID (IDK WHO IT IS)

LET ME KNOW!!

Now I highly doubt Connor Clifford would state his own team would lose 2 consecutive games. I believe you are impersonating the young man id suggest you remove yourself off this forum before me, or one of the other responsible chat members reports this

Dale, the boys up the hill always put out an awesome fight and many privileged 'big' schoolboys teams refuse to say they ever play their full strength team especially after a convincing loss against the griffin. I heard from my nephew that the boys won convincingly against TSS with big names such as Kingsley Uys with a score of 31-22.

Hey guys,
This game wasnt clashing with any rugby league commitments and the players everyone are saying to look out for which are there 8 and 10/15 (Elijah) were both playing. All teams are going to be missing players as Downlands would have been aswell im sure but im jus pointing out that they are going well and if BGS are real contenders then 2-3 players missing (if there was) shouldnt worry them and should be able to win. Once again though no personal shots at anyone just stating out facts that i hope you guys can see where i am coming from.

I still believe boarders were not available that week and it was the grammar boys first trial game together so tough to judge

Is there any way to watch film from the weekend, especially as some of us live far away and don't have the means to get to these games of Footy.

Cheers

DF,
Glad you asked.
I believe that if were gonna base it off professional success in both the league and union game at the current moment this is your 5
1. Patty Carrigan (GT)
2. Kalyn Ponga (Churchie)
3. Fraser McCreight. (BGS)
4. Hamiso Tabuia Fidow (BGS)
5. Rob Toia/Jack howarth (NC, BBC)

This is just my opinion, would love to hear more from others

Dear RnR69,

Who's going to italy in the coming months? Don't think Oliver will be there. Cheers.
He will go too Italy, great for him. Great pay over there, however I just think he will earn his wage, and we won't hear from him again. Whereas Ollie will stick around in Australia I reckon, put on the green and gold, and become a household name. Just my prediction and up for debate !

Would love to chuck in Jaydn Su'a (BOC 2014) or even a Tommy Gilbert (BGSOB 2017)

I Love this, the only change for me would be to put Kiama Jione Infront of Frank Iraguha considering he's bigger and stronger, no matter the time spent in the backs
