C&C's Best Fullbacks Going into the 2025 GPS Season

1.
Myles Rosemond (TGS)
2. Noah Fien (NC)
3. Dylan Terblanche (TSS)
4. Hemi Rakuita (IGS)
5. Jonah Wilde (BBC)
6. Will Dennis (GT)
7. Elijah Breen (BGS)
8. Angus Underwood (ACGS)

This Is My prediction of who will be the fullback for each team come round 1, One of the most deep position groups in the GPS so a few hard choices

Cheers, C&C
How is Elijah Breen 7th, this is his 3rd year in the 1st for BGS. His kicking game is elite and always a threat for the 50/22.

Cheers

Well said. Credit where it's due, TGS showed some promise by breaking into Terrace's red zone plenty of times. That in itself is no small effort. But rugby is about more than territory, it's about execution. And when it came to execution and converting pressure into points, TGS simply fell short.
Meanwhile, GT delivered when it mattered most. They stayed composed, took their chances, and walked away with the result. That’s not something to be downplayed it’s what wins game. TGS, on the other hand, can't walk away from that match asking “what if.” The time for hypotheticals is over. Instead of leaning on the hype around their big new import, they need to take a hard look at what really counts, performing under pressure. All the funding and talk in the world won’t save you on game day if you can't execute when it’s on the line.
Guys let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We only 2 games into trials! Aren’t trials there to test players, game plans etc and correct mistakes?. Many a team have lost warm up games and were still crowned GPS premiers. I’m not picking sides here but to get into the red zone 12 times tells me TGS are creating opportunities. When they start finishing those opportunities the floodgates will open!

I don't think you've seen Elijah Breen play. His kicking ability is like no other in the comp. Hes going into his 3rd season of first XV footy, without being injured once, proving his reliability in that BGS team. Also, I'm pretty sure Hemi has played wing in the trial matches so far.

After Taking further look at it I have to agree with you, that's on me, I would probably move him up to 3 But I just don't see him edging out the others?

Hey mate, love your interaction on the forum. However, I was just curious after looking at this team why their isn't any GT players, like iraguhra, Nasser etc... Is there a bias here or do you simply believe terrace won't make it far. Touching on my last point about terrace making it far, I truly believe, after seeing their first two trials, are a good side. Physical, tactical and can execute when it counts. Just my opinion of course but just wanted to know. Thanks

Tom,

That year was something else. Early in the season, you wouldn’t have dared to utter the words Grammar and Premiership in the same breath. It was Churchie’s centenary big hype, heavy investment, and on paper probably their strongest side ever (to that point). The preseason chatter wasn’t if they’d win, it was by how much. And yet… they didn’t even crack the top 3.

Meanwhile, BGS were sitting 7th in the odds, barely a whisper in preseason previews and they ended up with the choccies. A genuine fairytale, and one of the great premiership stories in GPS history.

Cheers, D.B
Sounds similar to this upcoming season. BGS are looking great this year. Top 3 finish i think. The team has many star players with everyone knowing their role in the team.

I would love to see BGS go that far but i struggle to see them beating the likes of Nudgee and the other consistent schools once the season rolls around. I think that the are building for something though, may be brewing for a big couple of years from them though.

Welcome to the Forum CliffoXXXX,

GT will be taking on BGS and IGS in a threesome on saturday at Gaza (Tennyson's nickname for all of the veteran forum members). BGS look far improved this year, pumping heaps of money into their recruiting. This number 6, i believe his name is Nissi was absolutely fantastic on the weekend. He has all you can ask for. Size, aggression, skill, and a MOTORRRR!!! The matchup between GT and BGS will be fascinating.

IGS vs GT will be a good game too, keen to see how it plays out.

PREDICTIONS:

BGS v IGS - (17-5)
BGS v GT - (7-7)
GT v IGS - (19-7)

Cheers
Hey mate cheers i'm excited to be one of the newest members to this well tied together community. Just a quick correction, the BGS 6 was played by the well-known Dyer Akauola AKA ''hot tub''. The BGS rugby custodian was a well-respected member of the BGS first XV last year holding up the back of the scrum for Bgs. Returning this year to the role of flanker in this new era of grammar rugby. I'm very excited to see what he has to offer from his side of the scrum.

PREDICTIONS for the weekend in the threesome.
BGS v IGS - (21-14)
BGS v GT - (12-7)
GT v IGS - (7-21)

Signing out, Cliffo.4.X

Gday Lads,

Just wondering how my old team, the boys up the hill, are doing. Haven't seen them in a while and was wondering some insight, are there any star players amongst the mighty griffins of DLC?
would love to hear that too. Am a downlands old boy myself. I haven't heard much about the mighty first xv for a while, however did see a prominent young female sevens player. Unsure of her name but she made quite the impact at Ballymore a few months back.

Rumours have it that a Toowoomba grammar athletic freak was out for the trials last weekend due to him representing his region in the south east Queensland competition at the Gold Coast. Anyone know the name believe he is a fullback?
