Country have a number of injured players including;

- Tui (Shoulder out of the NRC)
- Paaiaua (Concussion)
- Magnay (Hamstring)
- Tupou (Shoulder)

The later three will likely be out for Rd 1

S. Fainga'a will also be out for the first 3-4 games of the NRC leaving a starting spot open for incoming club players

Lukhan was the big bastard lock at the U20s Championship?

Yeah, he looks like a good player, probably not for 2016, but 2017 onwards, yes. Needs some professional conditioning though.

I knew he was big,but how is he at using his size? i don't really want another Sitaleki Timani or a Rob Simmons and Sam Carter but without their set-piece prowess.

has anyone seen Lukhan play? is he a good signing?

I thought he played well at the U20 Oceania tournament. At first, I wasn't that impressed, I think because you have unrealistic expectations of those really big guys - that they should be breaking the line every time they touch the ball. But looking back, he did have a high work-rate, and broke tackles regularly. I think Lee Grant was also impressed

So Im thinking of supporting the country boys this year as I live in Brisbane but have always been a Canberra fan with Brumbies and Vikings, but wouldnt mind getting to some live games. So I'm thinking of trying to get to the country games and throw my hat in there.

so who's goiing to games ?

QLD Country aren't playing in Brisbane in 2015.. Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba are the closest they come to playing in Brisbane.

Well i won't be going, but you can expect a decent size crowd in Toowoomba for the QLD Derby, that would be a match worth attending.

A. Fainga'a ruled out of the NRC with a foot injury, James Tuttle to take over as captain.

The game in Toowoomba will be an absolute cracker and you can expect a good turnout at Berghoffer. IMHO well worth the road trip... and worse can scenario there are a couple of great pie shops around.

I just hope the Toowoomba game doesn't clash with Risdon cup finals up here, otherwise you'll lose more than half your rugby viewing public.
