This is a pretty awful list. Dalton and Sayers have barely played colts 1 this year as there are better players at the own clubs little own the whole comp. How you can pick more guys from a GPS side that won two games over every other side is beyond me

which clubs own the comp??

I saw just about every Colts team for at least a half a game this year and saw many of the Colts eligible players playing Hospital Cup.

Because of obvious reasons I think it was a difficult year to really rate many players as you could in previous years. Especially with inability to watch players in the second round.

The player I saw playing in Colts that stood out for me was Wilson Blyth and his Lineout combination with Hunter Dare for Bond was memorable.

I thought the best Colts forward pack I saw was Wests.

I thought the best Colts back line I saw was Uni.

Defensively all teams leaked too many tries but I thought Brothers were the best in Colts this year.

The best team combination was Uni and I tip them to win the comp. They have great ability and depth across the park which should carry them through Finals football.

TW, Comprehensive list. I didnt include any of the boys from Prems and I did forget Alex Smit. He is very good IMO as is Roach.
I am also a big Kalani fan, however, I wasnt impressed with him in the games I saw this season. If we include Prem players then it would be hard to go Past Cullen Cooper-Jones from GPS at 9.

or Mac Grealy

Completely forgot about Cullen Cooper-Jones. He would definitely be the starter over Kalani. Agreed about his form.

And van der Schyff running on for Uni Colts 1 after playing in only one game for them this year.
Tom has start twice in Colts to my knowledge. Once back in round 1 against Norths which didn’t count for points, but was considered a competition game and more recently against Wests.

He has missed two weeks to injury and had one start in Prems . The rest of his games have been in Reggies .

Definitely played four games , just not all in Colts , but also hasn’t regularly played enough games “up” to be made to stay “up”.

Not selected for Prems this week and is still U20 , so eligible for Colts.

It’s not like he has played all year in Prems and now lining up in Colts because Prems didn’t make finals .

Heard there was an ugly ending to the Colts II prelim final between Easts and Brothers with a number of players running on to the field from the reserves bench to contribute to an all-in brawl. I trust that those players are all dealt with and the QRU impose heavy sanctions. Player safety is paramount and when are these dickheads going to understand that One Punch Can Kill. I also hope the QRU review this incident and do something in the future to control this sort of abhorrent violence by making reserves sit in the grandstand.

Tricky little elephants floating around this very unfortunate melee - highly passionate young players and several smart alecs, sheep station match, young and relatively inexperienced referees adjudicating equally young players with possibly considerable more playing experience and a sequence of matches between the same clubs with the consequent ripple effect of unease.

All of the sentiments from TER are absolutely pertinent. I hope all the teams and all the refs are matched up with appropriate skill sets come the GFs

Well, felt a bit sorry for Bond on the Weekend, Brothers stayed in the game and earn’t their place in the final. UQ v Brothers Colts 1,2,3. Should be a real forwards battle to gain some advantage in the set piece and give the backs some space to move the ball. Hopefully UQ are well rested,

Was told that up to four players cited including the Brothers captain who ran in to the brawl from the bench. What' the bet that no suspension is applied except a slap on the wrist so they can play GF.

Last time it happened when players came off the bench was Souths v Brothers a couple of years ago. Brothers player got about two weeks to Souths player about Eight week.

i expect the usual level of Bias.

Just heard from my QRU mate that the footage of the incident from Colts 2 has 'gone missing' or was shut off once the full-time siren went. Apparently majority of the players cited will either get off or receive a much lower sanction. Sounds dodgy to me.

And that Brothers player was in casual clothes running the kicking tee out and joined the fight from the sideline, he got 1 or 2 weeks and Souths boys got 3-4 for joining the fight. It was the biggest load of rubbish I have ever been involved in.

I find that hard to believe that video has gone missing or was not operating (as the game was still going) but nothing surprises me with the QRU and the Judiciary. There were about 100 witnesses, a referee, a linesman if they wanted to find out what transpired and who was involved. Time will tell....

It is a matter of how far under the rug it will be swept. The footage mishap gives you a bit of a clue the direction it’s heading. It’s disgraceful and those involved need to be reprimanded going in 2021.
