GPS v East - The Lads from Yoku Rd are having an unlucky season thus far, but if you look at the results they have been competitive even against the top sides, If GPS are going to win a game its going to be at home to East. GPS 5+
Sunnybank v West - Its hard to bet against the Boys from The Bank when they are playing at home, this will be an important game for Sunnybank to solidify their Top 4 spot. It will be interesting to see how West bounce back after the loss to Norths last week. Sunnybank 12+
Brothers v Souths - Lots of good match ups across the park, Souths have a slight edge in the forwards and Brothers have the edge in the back line. Souths play a direct style of footy utilising their size but tend to bunch quickly and struggle at times in broken play. Brothers on the other hand tend to play a faster style of footy which is a great counter, however their inability to close out games on the defensive end is a problem, if Brothers stick to their quick style of footy and play with some width I think they will come out on top. Brothers 10+
UQ v Bond - Everyone expects UQ to get the job done, however Bond have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I do expect this game to be a lot closer than what people think. UQ 10+
I am a UQ supporter but will definitely be at Crosby road this weekend for the colts 1 matchup between brothers and souths.
It will be the battle of Souths pack v Brothers backline. If brothers can hold their own in the scrum and keep a huge souths pack at bay then Brother's backline will run circles around Souths.
Some big match ups: Lea v Ralston, Tarabay v Smith , Cross v Gerrard and plenty more.
For me, if Brothers can hold back the huge souths pack then Brothers will win 10+.
Key word. IF!!!
Cant wait for it
Doesn’t Ralston play premier grade
Ralston has been playing prem grade for most of the season and Lea the last few weeks as well. More likely to see them oppose one another at 3.20 than 12.30pm.
No contest. Brothers 31-0.I am a UQ supporter but will definitely be at Crosby road this weekend for the colts 1 matchup between brothers and souths.

Reno can be a threat with the ball in hand , but doesn’t do enough work around the park for mine.No contest. Brothers 31-0.
So much for my opinion Souths forwards would dominate.
They were monstered.
Gerrard had a forgettable game.
Brothers back row 3 were impressive.
My thoughts on Colts 1 teams in 2019 follow:-
Souths - A lot of big names across the park this year but in past years in this comp and others some of these players look like Tarzan and play like Jane. (and it looks like that is what happened in weekend just gone). This team cannot wait for other players to do the hard work, they will all have to chip in to be successful.
As a brothers supporter I expect you'll see how "overrated" he is this weekend on Saturday. I watched via the online stream the prem grade games from the weekend, and his first touch he ran straight through and set up a try for their no 8. Rarely is ever tackled one on one.
Just out of curiosity, which wingers would you think are at or around his level? The only one I can think of is Ralston, nd not sure who'd be under these two on the pecking order
After Saturday I’d take Ralston
Souths v UQ game of the round Souths in a very close one that could go either way.
Sunnybank v Norths Sunnybank by lots
West v Brothers Brothers were clearly hyped up last week and could either set it as their new standard or drop back. West have plenty of strike power all over the park. I expect Brothers in a close one.
Bond v GPS. Bond by lots
Thoughts gents.
Souths to upset the favourites by 6
Sunnybank +30 over Norths
Brothers +15 against Wests
Bond +20 against GPS
