Ward Prentice (10)
He is 18 this year. So no issues with GPS eligibility. I do note as a 16 year old he was not selected in his school First XV - so really has not mixed it up with guys older than himself in recent times.

I'm not surprised, but disappointed there arent a few more heelers colts in the Country team. They accounted for UQ during their tour very convincingly - 70odd to Nil.
Hate to burst your bubble but the Heelers played Uni's Colts 3 team. UQ are not that stupid to play their Colts 1 team mid-week leading into important games at the back end of the season.
Note in announcement above the notation *NRC replacement player - this means that these players have been subbed in for the u19 players who will be playing in the Open NRC comp. So looks unlikely that Wilson, McReight, Lucas etc will compete in u19 comp

That year might have been his first at TSS and first at union. His origins are as a league player and I suspect QRU are either trying to entice him to stay in union when he finishes school this year or test him at this rep level to see if he is worth trying to keep. I've only watched him in 3 games over the last 2 years and while he can have an impact, I think a couple of Colts loose forwards have been hard done by (Webster and Howard). He is 18 this year. So no issues with GPS eligibility. I do note as a 16 year old he was not selected in his school First XV - so really has not mixed it up with guys older than himself in recent times.

Teams had a not so "hit and giggle" session on Tuesday night under lights at Norths. Played in thirds the Country lads got out of the box quicker and steam rolled to a 14 - 0 lead after 7 minutes. Happy to be corrected with the score updates but at the end of the first third Country up 21-12. Change of a few key positions in the City team for the second stanza saw them control all aspects of the game and lead 26-21. Final third City kept the momentum and ran away something like 48-26 winners. Pretty good hit out to clean the rust out of the engine. Handling was a little down and timing sometimes off. Both teams missing the big boy NRC players so it will be interesting to see the line ups when and if these players come back.
Can’t say I agree with you. There were some nice moments in the 1st third, after that though I thought they were out played. Nice try to their ten during loose play in the last though.Thought country backs were very good but huge disparity in forwards favouring city for the 2nd and 3rd thirds.
The TSS boy's selection is an insult to the many club Colts players who have worked through 18-20 rounds of the club season to give themselves a chance of selection. It also raises questions as to the actual age of this player and his eligibility to play at GPS and/or at the Under 19 level.
