Still that height and weight isnt ideal for a front rower
I agree but right height just needs to add 20kg

personally, I would place some changes into this team such as the substitute of Diesel Hauff into starting 6 and remove Liam O'Callaghan out of the team due to a lack of tikka and skill and replacing the #19 jersey with weapon Callum Spoto due to his sheer commitment this preseason. I personally think Harrison Vidler would put Nate Clarke in a pack and wear that #12 with much more pride

yeah I'd swap out Jack Boland for Will Bagnall (MCA) he's a much bigger body at FB with speed to burn and a huge boot.

Rumours going around that 2024 SLC halfback Henry Edwards looking to slot into the 15 position. Seen him play 15 for brothers before and he will definitely be handy. Could potentially be one of the best in the comp. Big worries for SLC with centre cooper brown being out for the season. A bunch of positions to be filled so who knows where this team finnishes. Anyone know anything about these “imports” that lauries have brought in?
Not sure about this Edwards bloke, heard he is a bit of a cat. Will 'Homunculus' Ross will eat him up for breakfast just like last year. As for SLC I am very uncertain how they will go this year. They had a solid 2nds team last year with a few good players coming through but not sure if they will be able to make an impact in first XV rugby. We will soon find out.

As always,
Kokkinator

Agreed, he copped a concussion against pats last year on a pretty soft hit, could be a liability in the backline for SLC

Marist internal trial today. Top 5 (IMO) in no particular order: Ollie Millard, Liam Rice, Josh Heinrich, Seb Gardiner and Elliott Aldridge. Lots to like. Just need an effective No.10 to unlock the backline. Sean Green and Xavier Howard in the centres can do a lot of damage this year.

A lot to like about Ashgrove this year, always been competitive in the junior age groups hopefully that can transfer to 1st XV level, especially with a strong contribution from the year 11s

Hey guys, it is me, the one and only, Seb Gardiner. As you might know, we at Marist had our internal trial yesterday, where I received accolades from Dabu in the post above, which I would like to thank Dabu for the shout out. Personally, I feel as if I was the only stand out player in the whole trial, where I carved up the whole time, evident in my Richie McCaw like play style. The concern for a no.10 outlined above is no longer a concern, I am the answer. So, this year is MY year, the year of the aquaman. Keep your eyes on Marist, because a future legend is in the making.

Until next time,
Aqua, out.
I'm beginning to think that this may or may not be the real Seb "The Aquaman" Gardiner

How did these grade 11s handle themselves in the internal trial from what I am hearing it seems like a weaker age group with the grade 12s showing them up. Also am I hearing right that Marist have got a lack of front rowers this year and that Iona will tear the scrum to shreds come round 1.

Heard the unfortunate news that Cooper Brown (Year 12 at St Laurence's) will be out for the season after undergoing foot surgery. This however presents Laurie's with an opportunity to act out the 'Next man up' mentality, with rumors that Luka Smith 2024 prop is set to slot right into the backline. With his incredible ball skills and underrated speed for such a big unit Smith could be damaging running crash balls and could cause carnage against opposition teams. Will this gamble pay off? We will soon find out.

As Always,

kokkinator
Seeing his power and speed it would be a deadly combination with the already powerful back line if these rumors are true I'm ready to see some intense action from the powerhouse Luka Smith
