Well done, Reds, bloody well done. Sully, Scotty and formeropenside may be surprised to know I cheer for the Reds in every game, bar one. I have fond memories of many mis-spent Sundays at Ballymore in my youth and always cheered for the Reds then. Except when they played the Tahs, of course.

How good are the Tahs looking after this result? How good's Link?

Defence was the key.
Matty Taylor should take that accolade - it was the best we have seen for ages - and they actually played for 80 minutes.
Well done.

Well, considering your borderline obsession with having a dig at Qlders, I had assumed that you had spent some time up here in your youth, but that you were burnt by an ex-girlfriend or some such and thus had some sort of complex about Qlders in general? ::)

We can't get too excited, they have pulled out performances like that previously to then disappoint us the next week (eg vs the Bulls in 08), but there are some very promising signs.

I didn't think Lindommer had a sister and therefore couldn't have a girlfriend in QLD?

That is for wives, idiot. Of course we can have girlfriends that are unrelated - don't you know anything?

We all need to take a deep breath. Remember Round 1 in 2007 vs the Hurricanes. Eddie was hailed as the savior of Qld rugby and the man to lead us forward. Great win, but just the very start as we have a long way to go and I'm there will be more pain. But it really was great to 'turn the corner', even if it was the third time in 4 years.

well aware of that DOC. And the big win over the Bulls in 08.

All our good performances (even close loses) have generally been followed by poor ones.

Last week we were bloody good in a close lose to the Tahs. This week we turned it up a notch. Next week will be the test, but back at Ballymore, playing like that, we could see something special.

Link said that the Reds have to start winning two or more games in a row so he's not sold on one win either. James Horwill is a massive loss for the Reds so we need players like Higginbotham, Byrne & S.Faainga to go up another level if we want to finish mid table or better.

What's borderline about it?

Aaah, Scotty, we Southerners loves ya all. If we didn't care, we wouldn't stir you so much. ;)
Enjoy the win, well deserved to all recently-suffering Reds fans.

It was nice to sit on the Bus to 8 mile plains with the expat Kiwis basking in the Glory of The Reds win. Apparently it was the Ref. How many times had I blamed him! :yay

I thought girlfriends was no wider than cousins. Maybe it was different in Lindo's day...

you're as predictable as the Tahs NTA.

Bet you weren't predicting a 2 point win at the 70th minute.

I've mentioned my praise for the Reds on the game thread but I knew than the Crusaders would finish over the Reds as they did two years ago IIRR. Then the game went on and I thought that the Saders were cutting it a bit fine, but they would pull something out of their arses.

It took a while for me to realise that the Reds were actually going to play for 80 minutes and the Saders had nothing to match the Reds.

Just goes to show that you can get a mind set about a team - and how wrong you can be.

I hope to be proved wronger in the next game.
