Country have had a few dominant scrums, yet the ref told the Rays that they were dominant, which was puzzling.

Country play such a conservative brand of rugby, they are going to get carved up in this comp.

Yeah, that was pretty deserved from that maul, about three or four professional fouls in that one maul.

Country scrum 5m out from Ray's(down 1 player) try line.. This should settle the dominant scrum argument

Penalty try to Country after that scrum. Strong scrum from Country, but surprised he awarded a penalty try after just one scrum.

Looks like the ref didn't have comms from one of his touchies up until then.

The Rays 7 (Ale?) was clever enough to immediately pack against the Country LHP, but it didn't help.

That was a really good try from QLD Country, great sustained pressure and quick hands in the end.

Country in out wide after a long, messy lead up play, Fainga'a twins well involved. Started from a JJ return down the touch line.

Country cohesion is a mess, though.

This ref is so annoying, he is letting too much go everywhere. The game feels a little out of control to me.
