I really miss Beale - style of player I want at 12. Hodge at 12......not sure.....but gees willing to look at other players than Foley at 12. Foley was not terrible tonight but did not offer that spark at 12 that player like Beale could.

lol phipps, classy way to cost your team
Should have been a penalty as soon as the trainer went for and grabbed the ball! There's no rule stating a player can't compete with a "trainer" for the ball. Or maybe the Argie who ran 25m to Phipps! Bwahahahaha. I can't believe we're even talkin about it!

Kevevi deff stood up and made the world take notice of him. He can't be ignored now! ;)
DHP had a game to remember.....not points wise but his running and stepping and competing was amazing!
Hooper was great again!

Awesome from such a young new bunch of Aussies to come best of the rest in the Rugby championship!

I agree that the trainer shouldn't have touched the ball, but play was dead. Phipps has form and Australia has a discipline problem. There was just no need for what Phipps did.

Just on the pushing of the physio, the commentators on fox sports were saying he deserved it for touching he ball... but I thought it was an embarrassing and completely unnecessary act by Phipps, the ball was dead already and the game stopped, there was no chance of a quick tap or quick throw, there was nothing to gain by getting the ball back faster.

Touching referees, medics or even water boys just isn't on, let the ref control that part of the game if it's causing interference.

Don't agree with Folou or Hodge at 12. Simply because with Quade at 10(a must arm).....having a second playmaker or at least someone with offloading skills takes a lot of pressure of cooper! When out piggies aren't winning the contest, two playmakers is far more flexible.
I wonder if DHP would run at 12? He has great hands and a great footy brain on attack and Defence. That would then solve the whole issue where to slot him. Then Niavalu and Hodge can fight for the wings.....leave Folou at FB!

So the trainer shouldn't have grabbed the ball.....and Phipps shouldn't have pushed him........but WHY was Phipps penalised for it? Reff brain fart.....

Nah, the penalty was warranted, players can't go pushing officials not involved in the game regardless of touching a ball or not.

He was penalised for "Acts contrary to good sportsmanship", misconduct or foul play, take your pick

There's been a noticeable shift in the way Moore engages with the referees as well, watch the highlights of the 2 YC's and it's a far cry from the 'in their face' approach he had earlier in the season

Idiotic play by phipps gave the ref another reason to blow a penalty. A real shame cos phipps does so much good stuff around the paddock and then ruins it all with this type of stuff.
