Somehow we managed to avoid all scrums for about 30 minutes in the middle of the game to give us some time to get our mojo back, after being monstered early in that department.

Run the ball around and tire their front row out. Part of the game plan?

You can only beat the opposition you have and the Wallabies did that in style.

Really happy overall. Runners in motion, passing in front of the man, only a slight manshaming in the scrum. Good times.

Argies were crap because of how the Wallabies played. Dave Beat is 100% correct in saying the turning point was when AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was forced to pack at flanker. We stood up just enough to take the required sting out of their scrum and not make it the absolute weapon they wanted. We imposed our will onto the game and the Argies crumbled. Full credit to the Wallabies for that.

Very pleasing to see out attack kick into gear today. Last time I remember seeing this sort of mojo against a genuine side while away from home was the win in France a few years ago.

We all knew from super rugby that the backs out there were capable of this sort of performance. However, as a unit, we have not been able to produce it at Wallaby level this year. The lack of a 'pre-season' (ie, the May NH tours) that we normally have may be something to do with it. Going straight up against the lions is a tough ask for any team. Let's just hope we can see more of this.

Whilst obviously very happy with this result, it really does strike me that the Pumas did not play too well. Perhaps that is due to the pressure we put on them - but certainly it couldn't have been the pressure from our defence (which was pretty ordinary).

I hope we continue to concentrate on strengthening those areas that are clearly deficient (at the very least now we are setting up the scrum the same as everyone else).

I am quite troubled by the amount of daft infringements that keep occurring though.

The best part of the game was sticking to the game plan - the first 10 showed we wanted to play ball in hand. Some straight running and beautiful passes created width and opportunity.
When we were parked on out line getting spanked in the scrums we held it together (thanks AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)) and the best part -
WE stuck to the game plan.
In the past we could have crumpled, kicked, and resorted to crap rugby.

Genia and Cooper are back. You friggin' beauty.

Saia was bloody good also. Some of the haters might want to man up and give credit where credit is due. Set piece work was fine and every bit as good as Moore before him.

Alexander should be given credit also and only fair the haters also man up and acknowledge he put in some good work initially when our scrum was most vulnerable.

Good work Tomane. Great to see him bounce back from some poor form.

Overall that shows what individual performances can become when the team clicks.

Every player in a Wallaby jersey made a positive contribution to the team. Good work fellas.

Nice game from the Wallabies. Showed some character to come out and throw it around. More committment in defence and better at the cleanout. Liked Fardy, Kuridrahni, Mowen and Tomane's games. QC (Quade Cooper) was a lot better and Genia a good return to form. No passengers, it was a good 15 man effort.

"Haters"?
Really, I think this term is well over-used. It trivialises quite valid criticisms and opinions that can be made and held about most players at some time.
I totally agree it was great to see everyone putting in.

The plan for me was to wake up for this game after the Bok/AB clash but slept through the alarm. I shall be watching the replay. I'm just happy we won. I really couldn't care less how we win at this point. Excellent stuff Wallabies.

Good thing about Link, this is just "one block" laid and there are many more that need to be to build a castle.
Really liked that we stuck to the game plan after the 10 minutes (almost) of scrum practice - I LOVE SCRUMS!!

would love to see this, and I'd wager that we will one day soon:

9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Tomane
12. To'omua
13. Folau
14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15. Lilo

Lilo 15?
I was also a fan of Folau for 13 but not after last night. Kuridrani could be very good

Out all 3 teams to put on 50 + against the pumas, I wasn't thinking the Wobs would be one of them.

Good play this weekend. This was the game needed before the upcoming tour..
Well Done lads....

Props to Cantepomi (spelling)

Tomane looked pumped in the anthem. He had his best game this year and he deserves to keep his spot on that performance. If he keeps to that standard he will be around for a While.

We still had to many handling errors but much much better then last week. I though the argi scrum that got slipper binned deserved a penalty try. We ended up coming away from those scrums very lucky. Huge turning point

How fast in genia getting to the ball. So much faster than previously. He only slowed the ball down 3 times. Apart from that he got there and passed. Quade took the line on enough as did genia.

Very lucky try when fardy lost that ball forward for Izzy's second ( think it was his second) Probably correct call from Tmo. Very hard to rule knock ons like that for up stairs

Wallabie backs finally running good lines and holding on to the ball. Players in motion!

The argi scrum Half should have been red carded for the stomps. 3 stomps and 2 after the whistle. He could of broke someone's hand. I find it hard to see all these cards get given so easily but when something as bad as that gets nothing, not even a penalty something's wrong.

73 min scrum. Tight head. Brilliant. Did not see that coming.
I don't think anyone had a bad game. Kuwindrani missed a few tackles but apart from that want terrible. Fainga take a bow. I'm no fan but he had a good impact off the enchanted making some great tackles.

Kuridrani surprised me. Didn't think he had it in him.

Hooper had a phenomenal game as well.

I dare say Lilo is the weakest link in the backline at the moment. Especially with Speight soon to be gunning for the Tomanes wing spot.

Still don't rate Kepu, Alexander and Simmons. Happy to see the fatcat back with avengeance.

Still want to see what Link can do with Pyle, Higginbotham, Godwin, Speight, Pocock, Beale and O'Connor in the team. Maybe next year.....
