Dan H is on contract though. Why would the tahs give him up? They wouldn't in the real world would they Nod? Barnes and Beale could be injured in the 1st 5 minutes of the S14.

Walsh isn't on contract. Point.

I have no sympathy - they bought a dud with no warranty. Caveat emptor, and all that.

Scott Daruda is not setting the world alight in France. In fact, he's struggling to start in the French 2nd division. I don't think he is the answer. I'd try to snag a decent Sydney club player. THe Gordon 10 is quite handy isnt he? What about the Uni and Easts 10s? I don't think they are signed up are they?

Is Dave Harvey still Gordon's 10, or is he a fullback now? He was switched from 10 to 15 a few times if IIRC last year

according to the sydney papers, SNK is applying for a release to his cardiff contract.
he is being linked with the reds for this season, but it would be worth a call by the force, he is far better than what they have.

Yeah - he switches. He's often brilliant in the Shute Shield, especially when the prick plays against the Rats, but hardly ever gets a mention. He and the likes of Randwick flyhalf Tim Walsh (as Noddy mentions) would be worthy back up for Bartho at the Force.

But Walsh has been in training with the Reds and Harvey wasn't even picked for the Barbarians team that played the Junior Tahs last night. Walsh would be the better bet.

Wow - but as I said elsewhere - don't think of him as a flyhalf, but a fullback who can find tacklers if there is a need for him to play flyhalf.

I don't think they should play the Rabbit at 10 even if he played there at Nudgee. And it's not because I saw him at flyhalf for Qld Schools in a non-competition game and he overplayed his hand: Giteau is making a career out of it.
I agree with you Lee. Just speculating as to what the Force hierachy might be thinking.

As with the Reds and their 15 dilemma, the Force may well just adopt the wait and see approach. Bartholomeuz may well be the answer, if Rabbit is 12. Solid go to guy at 10, with the boy genius at 12 might just work.

Would be good if they would get Lealiifano or To'omua over there, Hate the fact that one of these players will be behind Gits all season. They deserve more game time.

i have already said him, but I will say it again. Matt Brandon is such an unlucky football player.
He was starting Aus schools flyhalf in 2003, starting Aus u19 at the world cup when they made the final. Then didnt get signed to the reds because of berrick, took easts in brisabane from the bottom of the ladder to the premiership - then easts beat sydney uni in Sydney.

Now he is in Japan running a muck. He is only 23/24.

Get the pen and paper out someone!

I'd seen 6. Colby Fainga'a a few times - he actually looked better in that one game than 7. Michael Hooper who I have been giving a few wraps too. Of course he is a couple of years older - but Hooper did OK. Looks a tough young bugger for 18.

Lee,

Are you sure on the ages? I thought it was only a matter of months difference between the two? Both exciting prospects either way and good to finally see them both on the park. Especially with Smith earlier decision, both will be looking to shine.

SNK is a wallaby flyhalf that more than holds his own, when compared to bart or harris he is a genius, his kicking game is good and he would do well over there for the year

You could be right: I looked at my programme for the Oz Schools tournament in 2007 and Colby represented ACT Schools but he wasn't in the 2008 programme; so I assumed he left school in 2007. Hooper was still at school in 2009 - so that's where I got 2 years from. But Colby could have missed the 2008 tournament through injury.

If that's the case and taking into account the differing ages of boys in their last year of school - they could be close in age.

Both born in 1991 I beleive. Colby was in Aust Schoolboys in 2008 but was a young for his year group.

Aah - so he was injured for the 2008 School tournament then.

He wasn't chosen in either of the Oz Schools teams in 2008 after the tournament (I have the list) but must have been added later after he proved fitness. It happens quite a lot because the Schools "test" matches are held in the following school holiday periods and lads have a couple of months to come right.

Unfortunately Michael Hooper wasn't so lucky in 2009. He had to have an operation and even missed the Schools EOYT.

Do you have the respective DOBs of Colby and Michael for my records?

Lee,

I have the Brumbies season guide at home, which has all the Academy players so I believe I can get you that info

Poor JOC (James O'Connor) waited for the Force to sign a 10 now hes gone and hes in the same situation he was a few months back. Feels too early for JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 but I can see Mitchell putting him there if the chosen 10 fails.
