If is the one I think who I saw play colts then bench he is the definition of relying on size looked out of place at prem level even though he is 7 foot

Norths should be bolstered by the return of backrower Evan La Motta this year. Ive heard hes fit again after a horror run with injuries and has the size and ability to give the team some powerful ball running whilst also being pretty solid defensively. I liked what I saw in patches for Norths this year so if they manage to recruit well and put in a decent pre season I can see them being pretty decent this year.

From what I hear, from a few players, Jordan is coming to Sunnybank next year. He has been telling players at Sunnybank he is coming and apparently has told Pat Richards.
I don't know how many games he would be available for as 7's duties will have him tied up quite a bit. I'd expect him to play 7 when available as George Blomfield has moved to the UK.

Jets Blomfield will be a big loss for Bank- such a hard player on the ball (plays with seemingly no regard for his own safety). I never had much to do with him but he seems like a great club-man off-field too?

He is a traitor and a bad person.........he played colts at west 5 years ago, I still cry myself to sleep over it

George is a fantastic guy who was an integral part of the Premier squad at Sunnybank this year. He was consistently one of the best on field whenever he played. He was also a valuable club man away from the field too with many of the players gravitating to be around him.
He is undertaking his Masters in Engineering in the UK and I am sure he will play rugby at a decent level over there too.
He initially came to Sunnybank to play with his good friend Tom Murday and it is slightly ironic that he leaves and Tom returns.

Bit harsh Thierry?

George left Wests at a time when the Dogs were oozing talent in the back row. Madness, Higginbotham & Luafutu were all contracted to the reds. Plus there was some pretty mean vets still playing like Cassidy Holland for one.

If George left Wests simply for an opportunity to try & chase goals such as playing premier grade then I could of seen why he decided to make the switch cause of a logjam at his specialist position. In a perfect world we'd all stay at the one club and have successful careers. But sometimes you gotta go out on a limb in life & dog your mates for better self fulfilment.

Anyways no idea why he left the kennel. I''m sure he would of cracked the premier grade team eventually but I never asked why he left. I'm sure there's a reason

Btw I'd take Blomfield back to the kennel in a heartbeat. He is a great player but I'm not to sure he'd get much run in the current kennel climate. The Dogs tended to favour the taller line out option come out of bounds time.

Any news from Wests on recruitment and retention?

Have they started pre-season yet?

Do you think Mooney will keep the side improving or will they stagnate?

I think bloomers would of been close to the best 7 in the comp last year so while the bank look to have good replacements I am sure he will still be missed by them both on and off the field

I say it in jest I understand people have to go for the opportunity and I am ok with that....unless its uni the they are dead to me.

Recruitment wise not much news the rumours circulating colts are interesting but nothing concrete yet so I will make comment later. But the perms will benefit from having a lot of top players return from injury...like waits setu and I think Philip will have a few aces up his sleeve. Hopefully big Ed comes back now that he is back from overseas.

A gps person might answer this but whatever happened to Ben Corridas? Got game time for the reds one year and next year gone missing?

That's a bloody good question.

I had hoped he'd come to the Rebs because he did some of his growing in Geelong but he disappeared and I forgot about him.

He went back to Sydney after he was cut by the Reds. Not sure what he's up to these day. Would have thought OS might have been an option.
