There is a thread over at Planet Rugby talking about player movement after the world cup.

I havent seen anything substantiated yet, so they are still rumours.

Here is the story so far:
Toulon: Sharpe
ASM: Gits, Carter, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Palu
Northh: Vicks
Bath: Alexander, Chizz
Japan: Diggers, Hodgson, Brown (who else would have him?) and probably Shepherd, although UK an option as heritage.
Retired: Baxter
SF - rocky, Phibbs

Anyone know anything?

As this info comes from a Bazza thread, I'd take whatever he says with a grain of salt until someone confirms the rumours.

Very true.
Hence I was hoping for some clarifications from people who know what they are talking about over here.

Josh Rakic suggested in the Sun-Herald that Giteau and an unnamed second-rower were already signed. I presumed he meant Sharpe, so I would suggest that rumour has some weight. He didn't mention Toulon though.

I can't see why young blokes like AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Ben Alexander, or Ioane would be looking to leave. They have another RWC in them.

Cliffy Palu is almost certain to be lost to Japan or Europe if those $1 mill per season rumours are to believed. Our cupboard is pretty bare for no8s, so that'd suck hard.

So much for Vickerman having some real commitment to Oz Rugby. Blows in for a quick contract, does even play or attend a full Super Season then buggers off again. Can't say I am surprised, but I have to ask why anybody at the Tahs thought it was worth signing him for two games if he is even fit he will not be match fit. As for the "mentoring" angle to the signing he will only be in the squad for a very short time so any mentoring is a load of crap. IMO he should have to walk on water and part defences like the certain prophet/boardie did Red Sea to even get a look in at the Wallabies. Rant over.

Sharpe was always going for his OS experience and payday before the end of his career and Baxter was always going to retire and concentrate on his career after 2011.

We all knew Elsom and Giteau would also be leaving the only questions was where they would be going.

The only real surprises on this rumour mill are:-
Alexander and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) IMO. Disappointing if true with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) the only difficult to replace member in this whole list who isn't at the end of their career.

Diggers has always talked about leaving for the big money OS and with his injury history he should take it as he is unlikely to stay fit long enough to be a big earner from Wallabies appearances.

Gnostic, why do you speak of these rumours in the past tense? Or is has this post been sent back through time by a black hole....

The source of these rumours are a simple rehash of a previous thread(s) from a rather pathetic troll on another site. Nothing new. Maybe not the reasons why Gnostic refers to them in the past tense but could certainly be possible.

would be plenty of time to head over and come back. 1 or 2 seasons over there and they'd slot back in.

the thing they'd miss would be the lions tour. you'd hope that would retain most.

Well, they've signed a lot of centres to cover Giteau and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) if they leave...

Losing Alexander would be huge though... have still yet to retain a decent backup for Alexander...

I can't see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) leaving, Giteau yes.

Never know with Digby if he has an injury free season then he can demand more money & would stay. I don't think we'll have as many jump ship as the Kiwis & Saffas.
The only two in the current squad that I think are definites to leave are Giteau & Sharpe.

Perhaps his rumour mill runs the Infinite Improbability Drive, and Gnostic is this man

That was the idea with Luke McCalister, he struggles at NPC level now.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), diggers, alexander and hodgeson... im so disappointed to hear about them... i dont understand any of them whos jus worked there way through 10 years of shit rugby where we lost everything to the situation we are in now- on the cusp of a golden era- why would you leave now?
and how dare rocky elsom throw away the honour or leading your country for a few bucks

Isn't Rocky the current Wallaby captain?

Doesn't seem like he's throwing away the honour at all...

And despite only just starting his Wallaby career last year Hodgson is hardly the youngest player in the squad...

Quite correct but not just that troll you mentioned but the same rumours in some instances have been discussed thoroughly here as far back as June and July. From memory the discussions centered around Sharpe, Elsom and Giteau.

I do hope your humour gets better next year cyclo, that one is about as lame as the show you quoted.
