I think everyone who knows him will testify that he just wants to play for the Wallabies again. To be touted as the next Wallaby captain and then not to be even on the radar would piss him off.

I guess its going to come down to whether, if he's honest with himself, he's got what it takes to break back into the team...

I can't quite understand to whom "he" refers. If you mean Turinui, just who (and when) touted him as the next Wallaby captain?

I seem to recall that when he made his run of Test appearances a few years back, this notion was doing the rounds, started no doubt by such a luminary as his fellow pie-eater....Jabba The Growden.

Not just grumbles... He was Wallaby vice-captain at 23 years old and a capable leader wasn't he??

I don't doubt his leadership abilities at all. I do doubt the likelihood, even back then, that he would be an automatic pick for the Wallabies, as the captain surely should be.

:lmao: FFS... You are talking 6 years ago. My point being though - he was Wallaby VC and people (i.e. more than one person - me and grumbles for example if you want) were saying he could be the next captain. Then - if memory serves correct - he got injuries and Jones got the arse and he hasn't worn a gold jumper since. It's well known he wants it back so he has to make a decision on whether he thinks he can. That's my point - capiche?

Fixed ;)

Was that stat just pulled out your arse, or based on a survey of Tahs fans at the time?

A survey conducted during Eddie Jones last year revealed this.

You give yourself away - an Eddie survey would have said 62.496 % of Tahs fans were besotted, not just most!!
