3. Barnes - not only took the ball to the line he led the defence, consistently knocking the French over behind the gain line with a fast line speed. His work off the ball was superb.
2. Sharpe - Lineout and kick-off receipt excellent, carried well in attack and defended well. Scrum still an issue.
1. Pocock - from my viewing he will again top the tackle count. Could have gone for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Beale but Pocock gets it as the foundation stone of this pack.

Nonsense.

You probably should try to provide some evidence to back up such posts. Why is it nonsense? What did Sharpe do that was so poor in those aspects? No problem with people disagreeing, it's what it's all about, but maybe some counter-argument?

When is Bam Bam going to be announced as the G&GR Player of the Year?

Probs more interest in the silver and bronze positions, although I suspect a hitherto uncapped bloke called Day Light will occupy the runner up position on the podium behind Bam Bam.

So young, So good. Stay healthy and fit.

Here you go again. How dare I criticize one of the sacred cows of Australian rugby. First it wad Turner. Now Sharpe. Agreed his line out work was/is good. But in my view he always goes missing when the going gets tough. His tackling lacks impact. His body was poor. His passing is average. Bottom line for me is and has always been that he is an earnest toilet but lacks the type of impact, athleticism and aggression to be a great player. I find the acceptance of his type of standard to be typical of why Australia has been mediocre. Of course we are talking about test players so that my criticism must be seen as criticism of players at or near that level. But this ridiculous outrage by some on this site when one criticizes some of the favourites reflects a mentality that sees players like Giteau retained beyond their used by dates or sees players like Quade Cooper lambasted for being different or preferences for a 'solid' player like Turner over a player like JOC (James O'Connor) who offers real spark. The saccade-like foot work of JOC (James O'Connor) is better value than mere straight running any day.

Spewn, was that so hard. You actually provided something to back up the 1 word statement.
Otherwise, try reading the actual words more closely. I clearly stated I agree with your right to disagree (with RugbyReg actually, not me, I offered no opinion on Sharpe but have been a more than occasional critic of his in the past), just asked you to back it up. That was the actual point of my post, petal; posting "Nonsense" as an argument is ridiculous, and clearly you have many more words to offer. Check your spittle at the door, and settle down.

ii think sharp has been one of the most consistent forwards this year second only to pocock
he makes the gain line every time and like pocock seems the only ones to do this
that daylight player people talk about is in the second row hes behind sharp as best second rows in the country
his dominance and our reliance on him in the lineout showed earlier this year when mumm replaced him in a test -nz i think?
chisolm is a myth, mumms about 10kgs too light- thou ive been impressed with simmons
horwill hasnt played in a year and vickerman hasnt played competitively in 3

The sort of game where 10 blokes deserve a point.

3. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
2. Barnes
1. Moore

Good to see Pocock developing the carry skills to go with his pilfering.
Too many take Sharpe's lineout for granted.

I might not agree with all your poitns re Sharpie (I think he probably has a lot to do with leading the side with his experience/caps) but good effort all round!

I'm historically one of the biggest Nathan Sharpe haters on here. But I credit the bloke - he's been excellent this season. We've been incredibly fortunate that he's stayed on in Oz. He's tightened up his game - he runs the ball in close a lot more now, he's no longer seagulling in the backline trying to play centre. He's incredibly consistent and can be counted on to get hard yards up front and to make a shedload of tackles.

Yes, he is not a brute. We are still desperately short on brutes. But we're also short on world class test quality locks. So I'm not sure who you think Sharpe should be dumped for. He is EASILY the first lock picked. He is heads and shoulders above anyone else we have.

As an aside, I don't know why aerial ball winning is so underrated. The 4 jumper is as important as the pilfering openside for mine. With Moore throwing, we have a world class lineout. Dump Sharpe and watch it go to shit.

3. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
2. Barnes
1. Rocky

Schmoo, Sharpe, Moore and Bam Bam all HMs. I also thought Fatcat had a much improved game, and Slipper looked alright when he moved across to THP.

3. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - Every time I start to go off him he steps up
2. Barnes - great ball to JOC (James O'Connor) and defensive work was great
1. Moore - Gets through a mountain of work

Mitchell came close with his 3 tries and I thought that the forwards did well in general play. Glad to see Higgers get some time.
