They were just the team everyone knew about, a few guys around had played over here, Jackie played for Easts and Woga for Manly and Norths Leagues I think.

Word on the grapevine is that there will be some skilled Colts recruits from the Class of 2014 that will be heading to the Highlanders next year - former Gordon Juniors as well. Hopefully they will be able to field 3 Colts teams.

Apparently Toby Browne is headed to Uni (ex Randwick). Be interesting to see who they name as captain given it looks like Boidin is now in France with Narbonne. Does anyone know if Talakai is also gone, staying in QLD?

6th club actually. When he left Gordon he very briefly went to Norths. Played a couple of games then sat out the remainder of the season because he wasn't picked in 1st Grade.
If the rumours are true and he's off to Easts, I'm sure that will shatter Belly. He put a lot of time into Rodney ever since Rodney was a young bloke.

Wade Kelly denied there was a youth experiment and he was just picking the best team available every week. I think it was more about trying to actively recruit young talent to the club and progressing them through colts into grade rather than a policy of picking young guys in firsts. There was also a massive exodus of older players from the club over the last 2 years. Interesting to see what happens next year.
