I read with interest some of the pejorative remarks regarding players leaving the Randwick club , above.
On the other hand ,there is no criticism of players who are mentioned as leaving other clubs to join Randwick next year.
As they are allegedly not being paid by Randwick to go there , then there are, presumably, other considerations influencing their decision to leave their
current clubs.
Why therefore is it seemingly inconceivable to some that similar considerations may not influence players to leave the Randwick club ?
I know of a first grade player who is joining Randwick next year, who has not yet been mentioned in this thread , who has great affection for his parent club , has played there for
5 years, including 2 years in colts, & is held in high regard by his parent club ,& received an award at this years awards night. His circumstances however, preclude him from
being able to get to training there next year, hence his reluctant departure. He leaves with the blessings, good wishes & thanks of his club.
The Randwick players may or may not may be influenced by financial considerations , but either way they have been good servants of the Randwick club
& good luck to them in their respective futures.

Well said, Done that!
Players change clubs for many reasons.
I get annoyed when people imply there things happening that they know about but won't reveal. This was the journalistic style of a recently retired rugby "expert" who used to do this every week in his column. If they're not prepared to disclose the big secret they shouldn't raise it at all. It just brings the game into disrepute by starting unfounded rumours.

Seems to be a lot of talk about to and from for the Wicks.

Is there no one else moving between clubs in the off season apart from Wicks net gain/loss?

Not being rude but how many clubs has this guy played for? Does he just pick a new side every year haha

He's actually already been at Norths so he's missed the opportunity to increase the list of clubs.

He reminds me of Dan Parks who played for West Harbour, Souths and Easts I think which gained him the nickname of Compass!

Parra, Gordon, Norths, Warringah and back to Norths (plus a failed attemp to join Eastwood when he had already committed to Gordon)

I don't understand why people post nothing. Some need new hobbies. Treweek and Manu from West Harbour have been training with Manly since December. Also Blake introduced a new policy regarding training. If you are late then you don't train. No questions asked. Senior players have been turned away as Manly attempt to improve their standards. Hopefully this increased professionallism may help to address the end of season collapses of the last couple of years.

In relation to Harvey the words of Done That and the Coach should be borne in mind.
The rugby landscape for a bloke like this is pretty treacherous. He's a borderline S15 player and has played at that level.
Presumably rugby is a big part of his life and has been in the past. One can only imagine the sacrifices he has made to play at the highest levels he can.
To maximise his potential he has to change clubs and chase the dream. Hell most of us expect him to do that.
I dont know the guy from a bar of soap but slagging him for changing clubs when the system offers these sort of blokes very little in the way of reliable game time, coaching and money is a bit rich.
How can we expect these blokes to give it their all on the off chance that a s 15 team will one day want them. You have a limited life expectancy in the game.

Treweek is a very handy pickup.I thought the Marlins had a bit of a weakness in that position.
